Who's heading down to Dooley's old stomping grounds to watch us beat the 'Dawgs? 1st time ever going to Athens. Any good places to eat down there? How's the women down there? How's the gameday/tailgate atmosphere in Athens? The forecast is supposed to be sunny and in the high 70's.

GO VOLS!

Try to make it down the Athens on Friday night, its an absolute great college/bar town.

Athens is the cleavage capital of the world. Not quite as nice as Oxford but pretty close as far as women go.

And I'll be there, making my 2nd trip.

Yes, the women are amazing and the bar scene is top notch. I highly recommend getting up there early on Friday night. It should be a pretty good time. Little Italy is a great late night spot. They have some great subs and pizza. And it is cheap.

where did yall gets yalls tix im trying desperately to get four and i am not going to pay 100 per ticket like everyne is asking...any help would be appreciated...

I got mine awhile ago from UT. I'd say you shouldn't have any problem getting them for face and probably under face. Check out the ticket forum, or I bet you could win some on e-bay for pretty cheap. Of course you can always get them in Athens on Saturday. I'd imagine there's probably going to be some empty seats so tickets shouldn't be going for very much.

Athens is a fun town, but the people living there are some of the most miserable sports fans I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. TERRIBLE fans.

A lot of "NEW" fans are all over UGA now.... I am sorry to say but the vast majority of their 20-40 crowd is pretty much awful as far as treating human beings. I have gone the last 3 times we played there because of proximity, and I refuse to go this year after last go around in the stands my 85 and 87 yr old grandparents had their ears blasted all game long with f-bombs by the group of 2 women and 6 men around age 30 or so. Just totally classless people.

The worst part is the other UGA fans around them acted like it was funny and did nothing.

This was the last straw after the prior visit guys got way to close to my wife barking and being physical with trying to stop us, so they could be more classless and swear as I walked by just wearing my UT garb.

I have zero respect for any UGA fans now. I can take the dog barking and crap, because its funny and they look like idiots every time any single one of them does this. But being disrepectfull and swearing all game long is just pathetic. I sold my tickets to a friend in the family. But, I just won't go back. Easily the worst fans in the SEC!

Well fellows....I am born and raised in Ga...I live in athens...And, I can't stand UGA...lol....My friend has season tickets sitting at lower level around the 20 yardline...Him and his family are big UGA fans...He called me today and asked me if I wanted to go....I said O YEAH!!!!.....I'm gonna be the odd ball this year with em..LOL...I bought a tn flag you put on your car window the other day at the mall of ga...I am going all through town with it on..I am going to plan on going through downtown UGA sometimes this week...hopefully I will get stuck at some red lights..hahahaha....I think if anyone starts barking at me, im gonna start making fun of them and tell them thats a cute imiatation of a dying bulldog...hahaha...

got stuck a few weeks ago in traffic/red lights and starting singing loudly with my window rolled down...a little tune of rocky top!

It Tennessee pulls this out, georgia will be looking for a new head coach; maybe before the season ends. At least Tennessee is past trying to hold on to a has-been and rebuilding. Georgia still cannot admit they made a mistake and replacing Mr.Tan.:mf_surrender::mf_surrender:

Athens/UGA == some of the hottest women in the SEC. There are couple of clubs downtown with some aggressive cougars that I remember from my last visit. I may visit them on Friday then hit the other bars on Saturday.

I think if someone barks at me, im gonna bark back cause smokey is a dog also...i think im going to be annoyed by Ga fans..

I got to UGA but bleed orange. I'll be decked out in orange in the uga student section so hopefully i make it out alive
