I say good that they aren't here...don't we lose badly everytime they come to Knoxville?

well the other thing is that with a west coast game they get more of the LA market involved and they get longer play on T.V. seeing that the game runup for that time zone is much longer. If they take the UT-UF game, they are pimping another network and they are reducing the run up to the game because although it will be night in knoxville, it's still afternoon out west. Of course, whoever pointed out that the chance to push the huge Nebraska nation back into the mainstream was dead on the money. I will say that it really pisses me off that USC plays in the weak 10 and has a shot at another BCS game....shesh....that confrence is a joke.

The UT-Florida game is always on CBS. They used to go to it every year. I dont want them here but the USC game is dumb. I really dont care anymore. We should all just stop using the phrase ESPN on here and maybe they will fall off the earth.

Nebraska will be destroyed. Then they will go on and probably win the Big 12 North, showing what a weak conference it is. This is one of the best football weekends of the season. I can't believe they selected such a poor matchup.
Especially considering they'll be back there in about a month for the Notre Dame game.

Oh well, no biggie. Just not the best matchup.

Personally, I think USC vs. Nebraska has a bigger impact on the SEC than any of the matchups within the SEC. If Nebraska takes them in Los Angeles, it basically opens the door wide for the SEC champions to play Ohio State for the national title.

Yuck.

I wonder how ESPN feels about Mike Wilbon talking trash again. He said that Notre Dame is always overrated no matter how they look

I'm not sure the Huskers could even beat Arkansas. I expect USC to embarass them.

Yeah. Nebraska's run is stemming from a skin-of-your-teeth close win over an overrated Michigan team last season. That game almost had a rerun of The Band's On The Field.

Still, I would not be entirely suprised to see Nebraska win the Big XII. They could do it.

There is no doubt the decision boils down to promoting one of their own games (ABC/ESPN family). USC will destroy Nebraska, who may actually be the second best team in the piss poor little 12 - but I'm not going there in this thread.

ND-USC isn't until Nov 25, so its not as close as that. Still, USC-Neb has to be considered the 4th best game of the weekend.

Really? I could've sworn it was in October. Maybe thatw as last year.

Yeah, it was last year. I remember flipping back and forth between that and the Cards/'Stros NLCS game.

Man oh man, as much as I hate all 4 teams you mentioned, it was an excellent night to be a sports fan!

I won't be a homer and say that they're stupid for not chosing K-town, but the USC-Nebraska game is quite possibly no better than the 5th best game on the schedule (I'll include Miami-Louisville).

Agreed. LSU-Aub, UT-UF, MICH-ND, and Oregon-Oklahoma all seem better atmospheres than what they chose.

They are certainly go to miss the Central Florida vs South Florida game everyone is worried about this week. Mind boggling.
