Tennessee's final tune-up before beginning SEC play will bring Tennessee Tech down I-40 to Knoxville for a 7 p.m. contest on Tuesday.

I thought Stevens pitched well on Sunday when he got the chance.....I think he will throw the ball well tonight....

Sitting at game, pissed off beyond any reasonable belief. Terrible poise at the plate. Worst I've ever seen.

Wonder why we started losing when Walker stopped playing? Is the guy a senior leader, or a lucky charm? Kinda odd that a player who posted such numbers early has seen little playing time since Texas.

Walker did get in the game towards the end, but he seemed like the #1 catcher, did he even play last weekend? I like Bennett, but it seems like something is up. I didn't understand why Walker was playing over Bennett, but NOW, I don't understand why Walker isn't playing at least 1 out of 3 games behind the plate. It is curious.

I found several things unusual tonight, but I don't know the x's and o's of baseball. Can't imagine CDS feels very good about the pitching at this point...at least the staff as a whole.

I'm guessing because after the minute maid tourny Walker was leading the SEC in passed balls - and missed quite a few ruled as wild pitches.

Ironically, it has been a complete role reversal. Bennett who was thought to be the best offensively has really stepped it up behind the plate - pretty much stopping EVERYTHING - but hasn't been too consistent yet with the bat.
Walker, who was thought to be the better catcher defensively with a .000 batting average in SEC play last season, has really stepped it up batting.

I can see why Bennett is getting the start behind the plate - but I am surprised Walker hasn't even been subbed in the last 5? games. I think they would at least try him at DH as he has done a good job at the plate so far this season?

and just for the record the team has won FOUR games with Walker starting at Catcher and FIVE games with Bennett starting at Catcher - I personally don't think that is relevant for any thing other than pointing out you need to check your facts first:)
