Glad to see its almost here. With high anticipation,I wait for the opening of the T and the band striking up Rocky Top !! Getting the start up jitters out of the way, and playing some smash mouth UT football. The D takes the field first, stopping all promise of heisman hopeful D.J. giving the ball up on downs; UT promptly marches down field and we hear those famous words come over the radio "Touchdown Tennessee". It snowballs for the Bears the rest of the day when they realize they are living the same dream as last year and never wake up.Before the day is done two or three frosh make the news reels for feats beyond the realm of reason, Herbstreit wishes he had put some of them on his watch list,as they charish the moment with fellow players and coaches alike. To me is all going to be a big SURPRISE to all just what this team can do!! Can't wait...UT 37 Cal 20
Another thing I love is that not only does Tenn play, but I get to wake up this Sat. knowing that I get to watch football all day. That's something we haven't been able to do in a long time.
I don't like the term "NegaVol". That has never applied to me.
I prefer "NegaPhil". That has often applied to me.
Having said that, I'll line up behind Jake, since he said it first. It's football time...it's Tennessee...and it's time to put on your best game day wear and cheer for them Vols.
Here's hoping that the Vols give Cal the butt-thumping they so richly deserve, and that Phil Fulmer gives me a reason to doubt why I ever doubted him.
