that pretty much rules out the chance that the So. Miss game will be on Lincoln Financial sports, or any TV for that matter :banghead2:....

The Southern Miss game will likely be on TV. Southern Miss. is a mid major powerhouse that ESPN or ESPN2 could pick it up. I think they have Arkansas/Alabama and Va. Tech/LSU that day. So they could squeeze that game in there during the day. But if ESPN doesn't pick it up then LFS could likely. It would either be UT/USM or Auburn/USF

I'd say the UT games that would likely not be on TV are the A-State and UL-Laf. games

I think LFS already took the bama-vandy game for sept. 8. :( there was a guy who posted all the games that have been 'selected' up until now on one of these boards. seems like it was from an LSU site..................

you're right. but I think UT/USM is a solid BCS vs. Mid Major game that somebody will pick up

If LFS picks it up the game time won't be at 7 like it's posted on the internet, so that's why I said that. I reallly don't think any ESPN network would pick it up with the other games that night so, could end up being on that Pay Per View thing they did last year.

ESPN cannot carry an SEC game that runs directly opposite CBS's 3:30 primary conference time slot.

i live in arkansas, are the pay-per-view games available outside of TN?

I've lived in Texas for 6 years and haven't missed a game between the networks, ESPN and DirectV ESPN gameplan (pay per view). However, a couple of years ago they ceased offering individual games on PPV, only the season package. I usually have to catch about 4-5 on PPV, so its only $20 - $25 per game. You're gonna be in good shape.

So, I can call the cable co. here and get Gameplan for a few games and I should be fine?
