Game time for LSU already set (1 p.m. Eastern)?

That was 2006, I believe. The last time LSU came to Knoxville was in 2011 and they put a severe beating on the Dooley-"coached" Vols. Something like 38-6

LSU was ranked # 1 that day in 2011 -- All Doofus had to say afterward --- "Not a real complex game there," UT head coach Derek Dooley said. "They pounded us. I don't know any other way to say it." (Also the field looked horrible the groundskeepers should have been fired after that game)

That LSU team was one of the best in CFB history. They beat PAC 12 and Rose Bowl champion Oregon, Big East and Orange Bowl champion WVU, and national champions Bama in Tuscaloosa. The rematch was a farce and that team deserved a national championship. In total they beat 8 ranked teams including the #2, #3, and #3 teams.

Best case scenario: night game at Neyland. Break out the Smokey Greys and have a black out crowd. I can celebrate my birthday with a W.

One of the best teams in CFB history can't get past the 50 in a national championship game? Not buying it.

I'm guessing smoky gray's for Georgia, but I think it would be pretty cool for LSU.

Yeah that seems to be our pattern. I'm cool either way. I wouldn't be surprised if the Georgia game is the one we go all out for this year (Checker Neyland, Greys, etc.)

Look at the future NFL players on that Bama defense. The problem was that 2011 Bama was also one of the great ones. 98 Vols wouldn't have been able to beat 2011 Bama or LSU.

They were able to cross the 50, they got to the 32 when it was 15-0 in the 4th and still had enough time to score 2 TDs. Bama just had an amazing defense and Jefferson wasn't a good passer.
