The Phoenix Mercury v Minnesota Lynx on ESPN 6:30 pm Central Time. Check your local listings.

I'm looking forward in seeing Bashaara & Izzy in the WNBA. It will be their debuts.

But this game is a lot more than Bash & Izzy although they are a BIG reason I'll be watching.

Lots at stake.
1. The Lynx are returning champions
2. The Mercury are preseason favorites to win the Title
3. Diana Taurasi returns from a year absence.
4. Brittany Griner v Sylvia Fowles
5. Taurasi v Maya Moore
6. And last but not least Lady Vol alums Bash & Izzy!!

Who'll win?

My guess is the Mercury.

Should be a good game hopefully.

Don't miss it y'all. :)

I saw this listed on our guide earlier today but wasn't thinking a thing about who would be playing other than Taurasi for Phoenix.

Who won? I missed watching a bunch of really good WNBA players & better than that some former Lady Vols.

Thanks tony, The Lynx won 95-76.

Sylvia Fowles outplayed Brittany Griner. Sylvia made her look like a scrub.

Taurasi it appears is her own worst enemy. Out of control at times (hard and stupid fouls)and being caught playing dirty by shoving Renee Montgomery on her back. Camera caught everything.

Maya Moore was fantastic, as was Seimone Augustus and Lindsey Whalen.

Izzy played great she scored 4 points while playing with agility her leg didn't appear to had bothered her. Bash played the last 2 minutes of the blowout and made a cutting move in the paint for a layup. I was happy for her! I was glad she got into the game.

Overall Minnesota looked a lot better than the Mercury. The first half was back and forth and fun but by the 2nd half the Lynx took control early and won.

I assume Izzy didn't start & was backup at C? How many minutes did she play? Couldn't have been more than 10-15 if she only scored 4 points. Thanks for the update.

I loved watching Moriah Jefferson being taken behind the woodshed for a good ole fashioned spanking last night. She got exposed. lol

BS is up next.

Surprising, considering how badly Griner made Sylvia look back when Phoenix beat Chicago in the finals a few years ago. Griner was the one player I've seen who could 100% shut down Sylvia's offense.

That was then this is now! I've seen Sylvia get better ever since she left Chicago. Whatever coach Reeves is doing for Sylvia it has worked because she is at the top of her game.

The only bright spot for Brittany was her midrange jump shot. I think last nite was a wake up call for her. She'll be better next time.

Did Taurasi get called for it?

Did Taurasi get called for it?

She pushed Maya Moore I know for sure, I didn't catch the Montgomery push. Her and Maya also got into a little tussle at the end of the 1st quarter but yes....she got called for the push, and acted as if she didn't do it.
