I just hate the narrative that now surrounding JB. Obviously the infraction was minor but no one is ever going to believe that. So now her draft stock takes another hit.

This whole thing is so sad and so depressing. Here we are looking at March parsing whether the seventh or eighth seed would be better in the SEC tourney and hoping to squeeze out an eighth or ninth in the big dance. Fans and alums going at each other, on an historic losing streak fearing it will get added to with a 6th blowout tomorrow night.

I think she probably showed up for something a little late and thus Caldwell not wanting to show any favoritism let her stay home.

Of the games i watched we were the only one that got a flagrant for a hit in the face. Happened in the Vandy game much worse than ours no call. Happened in the Bama game no call. Both were ruled basketball moves. The sign signals and chirping at bench players of the other team would stop immediately. If that happened those players sit even if I have to play the towel girl.

Cured or giving another trial run ? I believe she should have let her take the trip and stay on the pine in some cases . Not if she was being vocal in a negative way towards the team. Now as far as not working hard and hustling back on defense let waste couple days on the road.

Didn’t Beers get called for the exact same thing a few plays earlier? She clearly didn’t intend to hit Spearman either.

If your going to call them call them all or call none. Most are unintentional so why they call them in some games and ignore in others. That is another huge problem with the SEC Refs.

The difference I seen was Spearman was follow through on a shot. Beers swing her arm sideways and back to clear the space. This is 2 completely different moving one being aggressive and one being normal follow through.

Beers was turning around to head back down the other way. She probably didn’t even notice Spearman until she hit her.

IMO both were incidental conduct and should have just let them play on. But if you call one, you have to call the other.

We see it different. You don't raise your arm out and swing it back to run , you tuck it in to get in running mode. She was clearing out her arm went to high and hit her in the head area. If she had stayed lower with her arm it wouldn't have been called.

I got home just in time to catch the end of the game and for reasons best understood by owners/staff of multiple pets, had the radio on to the OU broadcast. Their announcer said exactly the same thing: both incidental, “calling one a foul and then upgrading the first from a common foul required equal treatment for the second.”
