And I dare say the 2nd half will be just as bad. This team is the mirror image of the last how many teams. They cannot shoot the basketball and stand around and look. No movement without the ball at all. I said yesterday and will repeat: Coach Barnes needs to brought in for a training session on how to play defense. His team plays hard and hustles all the time. He probably could help with a offense if he was asked.

You know necessarily have to box and one her, you can send a double at her when she goes to make her move but we dont seem to have any communication so that whoever doubles her the other person picks up the open man/area (slide the defense)

Mercedes held her on against their bigs. Nared did a little for us. Dunbar took a couple terrible shots and one she made is where she should be taking them from. Diamond and Reynolds and Middleton were no shows for the team. I'm not giving up yet although I probably should. I still have hope that by some miracle these players will decide were going to play and make a game of this.

couldn't agree more. what player has improved under this coaching staff...not a single one. players have actually gotten worse under this staff.

I love how when the entire team sucks, then it's because all of the players are overrated 😂

Holly is out of her league coaching against Kim. One knows how to coach and the other, "I...dunno."

Now if our ladies didnt have basketball skills, at least their were tough, now we supposively have All Americans, and they are not tough.

There is no accountability no ownership from the players. Holly, will struggle this year with this mentally weak team, if you push em u might break em, they shut down on you, if you try to be they friend, they still gonna play like ****, so she's in a tough spot.

Its not about x and o, it about we have a team of mental midgets.

I despise HW but she has not missed a shot today or had a TO. This group is over rated!!

Actually the poor defense and rebounding play can be blamed on all that time spent this Fall installing that superb new offense.....why can't you see that ?:loco:

Anyone not in total denial can see that the problem with this team is the coaching staff. A competent coach would have this team near the top, we have the talent, they just don't know what to do. Without a change at the top the team will continue to slide into mediocrity and worse.

Agree but they play like the coach coaches. DD is way over rated. Russell plays soft. Great players take over games and its infectious. This team is uninspired and lack fire and passion.

That's right, I forgot about the phantom offense that was being installed. It looks good since it is a phantom one!!:thud::thud:

Its hard to motivate mentally weak players, it easier to coach players who want to compete and get better each game. We do not have those players on our roster. Next year, we get four more winners, hopefully they are ready to competitive.

Sorry, All Americans, is potential, we are soft, we are weak. WE will struggle. Mane ole mane.

Let's get it down by 10 before the end of the third, just compete ladies, play with heart, play like you love the game and the Lady Vols, yoself.

I'm at the game and am hoping for a better 2nd half. Holly is laying into the players in the 1st half trying to get them to produce and play lady vol basketball. I just pray the 2nd half they play with a purpose and with pride. I'm hoping for a miracle!

Almost any coach could get more out of these players than Holly is getting. If they couldn't they wouldn't let the players be on the team.

This group with a premier coach is a premier team. Can't have a premier program with a inferior coach and staff. Not only is Holly that bad, Lockwood and company are equally bad. For argument, what do you thing Holly would do with any other team? Let's send her to ND and take McGraw, no let's send her to UConn and send us Geno, or SC, or Baylor. These teams would suffer the same fate if Holly coached either of them.

That's a reflectionn on her coaching if she doesn't have her team addressing their weaknesses.

She can't coach, and that's why her teams are underachieving. A real coach wouldn't have them looking this lost.

If we gonna call it how it is lets call it!

Say what you want about Diamond but she doesn't have the same liberties as Russell and Nared and that is obvious. She seems to be 3rd on the list of the go to players on this team yet eveyone is saying she is overrated because she doesn't "Take Over"

This offense (What Offense) is designed for Russell and for everybody else to get in where they fit in.

I've seen Diamond cheering on her teammates and encouraging them only to be knocked out with a screen by Cox and no one comes to her defense.

What is the chain of command on this team? I have seen Dunbar jack shots up from any and every where (whether good or bad shots) but if Diamond did the same its a bunch of stuff said.

We have no PG and Diamond is being asked to facilitate and she isn't a facilitator she's a damn scorer, let her score

Now what do you attribute mental midgetary to ? I know coaching has absolutely nothing to do with because you have said that many times on this board .....
