Bearden ripped a hit in game one her second hit of the year. I don't think she will hit enough to keep that spot but hopefully I'll be wrong.

hate that the basketball game will overlap

but I will watch the rest of this game on replay after the Tournament win :)

McSwain is in her rest of the season slump. She really hit in the first few games now heading toward .200 for the season.
Ralph turned in the wrong lineup card and Bearden drew a walk and was called out McSwain was supposed to be the hitter.

Not saying it’s not justified but everybody on this board hates McSwain. That last pitch was a tough one but I think you have to at least try to foul it off. That being said, it’s tough always coming off the bench to hit. It’s much easier to stay focused and keep your confidence when you’re also playing defense. At least you have a chance to make up for a mistake at the plate with a big play on D. It is what it is though. You gotta do your job when called upon.

Gregg seem to have found the slump. 2 for her last 10 over the past 3+ games


UT has left 11 runners on base thru 5 which is simply inexcusable and 18 today thru 9 innings. Lockman has left 10

I don't hate her but think she doesn't hold focus either at the plate or in the field

For those who got to see Sprang today what type of pitcher is she? Mostly drop balls - rises - changeups - mixture? Hard thrower - average?

And where is she missing? I see she walked 3 again in 1 inning. Low - high - all over the place?

Sprang's leash is getting really short. Almost to the point where her position in the media guide will be changed from P to RB (right bench). Weeklys don't tolerate free passes. Part of me wonders if it's an adjustment to a higher level - both umps and hitters - and part of me wonders if it's the coaching staff messing with her mechanics since she got to campus. I've seen both before.

The team is still searching for someone to take the five spot and also the dp. I think Hannon has thus far been the best choice for right fielder. The power on this team is limited with only Gregg, Seggern, and sometimes McSwain the big three. I don't know how long McSwain can stay in the lineup with a .200 average.
