Game Thread Lady Vols in the SEC Tournament

The LF should have caught the ball but didn't. But I think the coaching staff let the LV bench run a bit out of control in the later innings. Singing, strutting, dancing around; even on the field between innings. Seemed way overboard when you haven't won yet. The players on the bench did not have their focus on the game. And then one of them gets called to LF to play. Then the drop. Then the complete stunned looks that Auburn had tied it up. The LVs were beat at that point. I think the actions on the bench were a bit disrespectful to Auburn and left the LV flat when they needed to score one more run and couldn't. The time to celebrate is after the last out.

All the teams do that from the first inning on. Softball is a different animal than baseball. They even huddle up after an out. They celebrate when they get a hit. What I don't get is how they don't challenge any calls. Like when Vols got hit by a pitch and then they called her back and didn't award 1st base. I would have went off since Fla. leaned in about twelve times the game before.

One reason they got to the title game over LSU and Florida IMO is that they were loose and the celebrating was a reflection of that. Singing and dancing between innings is pretty common from what I've seen. Remember how Alabama celebrated in the rain between games in OKC in 2012?

I believe its ok for girls to stay loose. Guys spit seeds, tobacco, play practical jokes on each other etc. Girls may sing, chant, dance, its ok. As long as they don't taunt and I don't think they do that. Coaches hate it, most fans like it. Thats why its allowed.

Actually it was my fault, I was celebrating also, they need to throw a flag and penalize us 15 yards.
