Texas has been a team that turns it over quite bit like we do. I think we could win this game with a little effort and some luck shooting the ball. I'll say Texas 70 Tennessee 65 but I am hoping we turn that around for a win.

I just hope we play with effort and be competitive. I said the same thing in the last game against Baylor and look how that turned out.....

If I were speaking to the team pre-game I would tell them:

We're getting a full game out of some of you, NOW.
When we get a full game out of all of you consistently, we can begin to take off. . .

I would tell my guards:
Don't sit back and wait on DD to "elevate your game", You, as her teammates, may need to elevate the game of DD and by proxy, the teams'!.

Confirmed that Ariel Atkins will not be available for Texas against Tennessee. Not that I'm one to be happy for injuries, but that is a big loss for Texas and will be a huge boost to Tennessee's chances in this game.

That Kentucky - Arizona State game was entertaining today and a big crowd at Rupp. ASU won in OT and had some dominating play in the post. Wishing we had a shooter like that Morris kid from Kentucky and of course Epps.

Kentucky is shackled by their lack of depth in the post. If they are playing against teams with a strong inside presence, they have no answer. Akhator is too important to their team to risk picking up fouls.

Morris was really good today. Her mid-range game is solid, not just a catch and shoot bomber from outside.
