Friday's contest is "...a battle between the winningest and fourth-winningest programs in NCAA Division I women's basketball history."
I didn't know that about JMU. From their website:
JMU was picked to finish first in the CAA Preseason Coaches Poll.
Redshirt senior guard Precious Hall was selected as the Preseason Player of the Year. Hall missed the 2015-16 season due to injury.
Senior forward Da'Lishia Griffin was picked for the Preseason All-CAA Second Team while sophomore center Kayla Cooper-Williams received honorable mention.
A look at last season's schedule shows JMU was 27-6 with a 30 point loss to UCLA, a 7 point loss to West Virginia, a 14 point loss to Baylor, an 11 point loss to St. Bonaventure, and a 30 point loss to DePaul in the 6-10 matchup in the NCAA tournament. I don't see any signature wins.
I can't imagine the LV's losing but then I never imagined they'd lose at home to Virginia Tech last season either so who knows.
