Again, your memory and your rewriting of history is wrong. We won NC's in 2007 and 2008.

but we weren't great for /several/ years before landing Parker and Anosike, and then after those titles our recruiting began to fall off noticeably, and PS was the coach for, what, four more years. We've not been a serious contender since. Heck, HW has got us to two Elite Eights--and in both cases we could have made the final four--but that is a bit misleading as I don't think either of those teams beat a single really good team all season, and neither of them was remotely capable of beating uconn. But they look pretty good compared to what we are now.

What are you talking about? They were in the Final Four 2002-2005 and the Elite Eight in 2006. Not sure what your definition of "great" is....

1999- Elite 8
2000 - Championship Game
2001 - Sweet Sixteen (after Catching's injury)
2002 - Final 4
2003 - Championship Game
2004 - Championship Game
2005 - Final Four
2006 - Elite 8(with Parker and a PG wearing a cast)

In the eight years between titles, they were in 3 title games, 2 Final Fours, 2 Elite 8s (one with an injury laden squad losing to the #1 team), and 1 Sweet 16.

For all intents and purposes, they had the 2nd best run during this period behind UConn.

Plus the team was pretty well set for the final four last year with Izzy leading the team.
