This is spot on mudcat. Tennessee hasn't had two wings that can create offense like this since the Meek days. The degree Kellie can get them playing together effectively (like today) might be the biggest factor in how far the Lady Vols go this season...

Walker was not geting done at two guard. Better fit at point guard.

Some get mad if you say Horston force shots. But team will go follow if she lets the game come to you. Thats one thing Tess does some do not see she pass when knows she has a bad shot. If Horston plays more like today tennessee will make it deeper run in the ncaa turnment.

Good points. We need a steady Horston, and we need Powell to run this team and show some leadership. Harper needs to push her and other seniors to lead. It was smart to sit Walker--a move that had to be made.

Haven't seen much of Hollingshead, but coaches really need to work on developing her. She's got some athleticism for a big, and we will need her and others to get some playing time and get better this year.

Yes, I remember being highly impressed by her in at least a couple of games last season at UGA, but so far her confidence and assertiveness seem to need the most work right now. I'm worried that her first game out as a Lady Vol -- the one in which nothing seemed to go right for her -- got too far into her head. She was visibly shaken.

Sure would like for Jillian to make up her mind to aggressively and confidently insert herself into a much bigger role on this team. The talent is there. She just needs to believe it is.
