Lots of us (including me) feel like Bama is beatable, but how?
I really think our offensive game plan was as good as I've seen from Debord. I also think Bama picked up on that.

Offensively
1. I believe we need a spread set forcing one on one matchups putting Kamara against a linebacker.
2. We need to use Hurd as a decoy in our read option to get Dobbs in space.
3. Utilize our tightends more.

Defensively
1. Activate AJ and get PB in the OLINE rotation. I really believe both will contribute like Jumper has.
2. Blitz with causion. We can't afford letting Bama get to the edge like A&M did.
3. Stay the course. No way Kiffen out coaches Shoop.

Without turnovers we beat A&M by at least three touchdown, but I really believe we match up better with Bama. And, since Bama thinks they can mail this one in like Florida did, I believe it's time the world knows what we already know. TENNESSEE IS FOR REAL!

Love the post, but there's no way in hell Saban will have these kids thinking they can mail this one in. He is too good of a coach and he knows that we have a legit team.

Beat them until their helmets break.

If you don't get a guy kicked out of THIS game for targeting, then you simple aren't playing Bama hard enough.

True, but all we need is 1 orl 2 to starters to believing the hype. They feel extremely confident after whipping Arkansas and now they're a double digit favorite against a team that turns the ball over every other drive. I just gotta believe some of those guys might overlook the magnitude of this game (at least for us). None of those talented freshman have played an SEC rivalry game on the road, and none of those talented freshman and sophomores have played at Neyland. Two huge advantages IMHO.

Good post op.

Not sure about the TE comment...they have not been consistent. Too many drops.

Want it more. We are going to have to want it more. What worries me isn't the team, it's the apathetic attitude from this board and from the country. Don't give me dog chit about the SEC championship if you don't want it more.

I agree, but so have a lot of the others. I just think if they have a weakness it could be having linebackers decent the pass. Beating Bama comes down to EVERYONE being consistant. Without that we'll be in a world of hurt.

I know you meant D-Line rotation. But if this happens there will be a sh*t storm of epic proportions on this website. A sh*t storm in a good way, that is.

I've got the same tenuous confidence that you fella's have. That is: It's possible for UT to beat Bama this Saturday. And, to spice up the picture, I declare up front that there isn't any other team in the NCAA right now that can back up such a statement (and don't give me that "but, but, but, tOSU or Meechigan...or Washington...could maybe beat them." They can't}. I believe that, despite Saban's warnings to these boys that there's a trap-game in the making awaiting them in Knoxville, all that youth (as OP stated) can be a problem when overconfidence lurks within their ranks. With all those injuries and with the early-game-oopsies-and-dropsies that have plagued the Vols thus far, some of these tidesters may well be a bit less eager to go all out from the get-go. Last weeks "discovery" of the additional prowess that's been hidden in the Vols' backfield will most certainly provide some yet-unseen wrinkles in UT's offense. Lots of untapped skills just waiting to show more of what we saw in College Station. The O line's gelling nicely. Shoop (again as noted) will out-coach Kiffen...again. DeBord knows how to scheme up against bammer's style of offense...which he's shown in the past. Let's figure Dobbs will begin running much earlier. Minus the drops our passing game is flat-out scary, so opening up the run game for Hurd, Kamara and Jelly could spell disaster for any team's run defense......yes even bammer's. There's a lot of nascent talent in this group of young receivers. Also to note: UT's had to play six straight games 'til the final tick of the clock. Bammer? That would be a "No." These variables (and please point out some others that I've left out.) may be significant or they may not pan out at all. But....and that's a BIG BUT...If UT plays disciplined football beginning with the 1st quarter (and they're capable), if they can keep bammer's LBs guessing, If Wolfe and Byrd and Josh Smith or Croom can snag come quick ones over the middle and if Jennings or Malone or somebody catches a couple of deep ones in the 1st half, then our Vols have not only a vaguely possible chance, but they'd have a darn good chance of knocking off the Tide and the final paradigm shift to national relevance will have been performed in Knoxville. Yes, I'll say it. Next man up!

I don't know about the coaches, but I know my job. I will Stand and Yell my All for Tennessee this Saturday.

Living in Alabama all my life, this game is always a little more personal considering I have took **** from peckerwoods for a quick minute.

Agree with everything you said except the tight ends.

Malone/jennings/byrd as receivers

Hurd/kamara in backfield at the same time with one releasing to run a tight end style route so you have them going against a linebacker or end when bama blitzes..

Keys to Victory:

1. No turnovers.
2. Run Dobbs at least 17 times.
3. Have Kamara and Hurd on the field together at least 90% of the time.
4. Let Dobbs throw the ball downfield early.
5. Don't miss tackles on defense.

If we play fundamentally sound a let Dobbs be Dobbs we can win this game.

I predict 45-41 Tennessee wins.

The game plan will be go ultra safe in the first half...very few dobbs runs and zero down the field passes. Just be safe with the ball and hope we don't get too far behind. Once behind by several scores in the second half...go ahead and take a few shots. Hope it's close at the end. A real winners mentality...if you ask Derrick Dooley. Lol

What is said in this board or around the country has little to do with the outcome of the game. You confuse apathy with facts and reality.

i think they need to incorporate Warrior into the secondary and let him make some plays. Orange runs in his veins DEEP and no better game to unleash him than Alabama.
