I watch the game between sc vs ncs last night, and during the game, I were sitting there thinking "no way SC can beat Tenn. this year." I mean I think they play so bad that it did not look like S.S. same teams, almost remind me of Tenn. last year.:lolabove: But anyway I think that the vols will destory SC when they come to Knoxville this year. GO VOLS:rock:

My wife went to the game with some people she works with. She said neither team looked good at all. Hopefully that is a good sign for us when the SC game rolls around.

After last night Mike Slive will be petitioning the rest of the SEC to export South Carolina to the Big Ten.

I watched it and at times, the NC State D was giving SC all they could handle and then some. It could be a really long season for SC.

I agree they looked terrible. OTOH, they'll improve like most teams. The Vols should still beat them but their D will keep them in most games.

Watch out for South Carolina's defensive line. They were out 2 starters but still looked big, strong, and fast. And Eric Norwood is a NFL player. The DB's looked athletic too. That defense can keep them in some games. For sure.

At least Alshon Jeffrey had 1 catch for 5 yards...lol. He better not quit his day job at the gas station.

Sc is terrible. They always win their games early in the season, lose a tough one and then quit at the end of the year and end up 6-6. This has happened the last 2 seasons, and there is no reason to expect anything different this year. Oh, and I've seen Spurrier match wits against Monte Kiffin before (I'm a Redskins fan). It wasn't pretty. I'm pretty sure EB can put together a heisman video from this year's game against Sc alone. Stephen Garcia vs. EB and Monte Kiffin? That's cheating, right? Does TN have to give them a headstart? It would only be fair to spot Sc at least 14 points.

Well we better not shoot ourselves in the foot yet. We haven't played our first game.

However they did look bad last night!

Spurrier can't coach anymore. He has been there for 5 seasons, and yet he opens up this season putting 7 points up on the board, and only because State fumbled inside the 20 yard line. It's sad, it really is. Watch their games enough and you will see the same stupid mistakes over and over again-illegal procedures, false starts, not enough men on the line. At some point it stops being the players fault. Plus-being in his 5th year he has had enough time to see 2 great recruiting classes either come through and graduate, or come up to be seniors and juniors, and what has he done? 6-6 last year with a 6 turnover game against Iowa. Just be glad TN never went after him after he left Washington. And again-he quit that job while playing golf. He quit a job, yet people are suppossed to believe he is still a great coach. Find me one coach in the top 25 out there now that quit their last job. Some got fired, but none of them quit. Heck, Kiffin didn't even quit on the dumpster fire that is Oakland-he got fired by an owner who looks like a Sea Monster. Spurrier left $15 million on the table in Washington with an owner who would have paid anything for any player he wanted.

Yea their defense looked good against NC State. Offense looked horrible which doesnt say a lot for spurrier.

From what I saw last night our defense will outscore them.

Didn't Saban quit from the Dolphins?

Didn't Saban quit from the Dolphins?

Excellent point, but the circumstances were a bit different. He was being courted heavily by Alabama, and realized his heart was in college coaching. Spurrier quit while playing golf, at the tee box and did nothing for a year. And I think we can all agree that his heart does not seem to be in it anymore.

I would absolutely love to see ihateorange4 in here right now...although I know there's a 0% chance of that happening...

For those of you who don't know...ihateorange4 was a USClite troll that frequented this board between last years USClite game and when we signed Brown and Oku...

He talked alot of crap....his main drivel being that UT is on it's way down and USClite is on it's way up based on:

1. They beat us last year

and

2. At the time they were ranked ahead of us in the recruiting rankings...

But after the smackdown they took in the Outback bowl and after we finished ahead of them in every recruting ranking...not to mention every pre-season prediction for this year...he's been non-existent...

I imagine performances like last night are going to ensure that we never see him on here again

I am going to hold my tounge on this one until I see our Offense in action. I live in Charleston and I won't lie most SC fans were happy with the outcome and like that Garcia didn't throw multiple picks. Take away the Pass interference call and the botched kicks and the Cocks romp. I do agree that we should be better than them but I am not ready to say it is true yet.

It's worth noting that they lost 6 kids from that class, and already have 4 arrests.
