Are y'all trying to have a contest to see who can say the most uninformed thing in this thread?

You seem scared.

Scared, no. Completely pissed at the idea of losing a 4th, yes 4th! home game in 3 years, as a 30-year season ticket holder, hell yes!

And knowing the UT fan base pretty well, y'all would be too.

Well they do have extra help down there with all the DMAT and EMS/Ambulance strike teams on hand. Maybe they can staff it. Did Georgia have any deployed to their state or do you know?

I can't say on Georgia but I know strike teams from Knoxville have been there the past several days. One team that I know currently is working in the Jacksonville area on evacuations

I was also asked today by the hazmat team I work for to be prepared to respond to Florida if needed

What city is under water?

And here's a quote from a Florida fan on Gaitor Bait

Just as a side note, today, in Atlanta, was not much more than a typical rainy Summer day. Other than the fact that it was 59 degrees! We faired way better than folks anticipated. Maybe they move Atlanta United to Bobby Dodd for their game? That was their location before MB stadium. Pure speculation on my part though.

Yeah, our guys went to Tallahassee then Tampa. Dunno where they are specifically now. Then the DMAT flew in to Orlando to go somewhere for two more weeks after being in Houston for the past two weeks.

Edit: You can have your Haz-Mat. Especially in floods. All kinds of nastiness in that water.

I'm talking about money. That's all that damn well matters to Arthur Blank

I get people not liking soccer but its hilarious of them to joke it off as "cute little soccer match, move it to the parking lot." Atlanta United just built a 60 million dollar training facility in Marietta. The city just approved. 68 million dollar devlopment right next to it. The city also paid 7 million for a few acres to prep for the next development right next to it. Over 130 million ecomonic impact in just a few months. Each match brings in between 10-12 million total ecomonic impact and landing the world cup will be a huge ecomonic boom to the whole se region.

You realize it's a statewide emergency in Georgia as well, right? Schools, businesses and universities are closed from Valdosta to Columbus to Savannah to Macon to Atlanta and everywhere in between. Power is out for over 600,000 Georgians and debris was falling from Atlanta buildings in down town only a few hours ago. How in the hell is it a-okay to play a game in Atlanta versus Gainesville? Florida is fully capable of supplying enough gameday emergency personnel for Saturday, and if they need additional outside support, they'll ask for it.

so is it just me or is all this guy cares about is playing the game in Gville? Florida is in WAY worse shape then ATL... i mean thats just an ignorant comment to even try to put those in the same sentence damage wise :banghead2:

Not talking about Naples and Ft Meyers where there were 140 mph winds and a direct impact. I'm talking about Gainesville and the surrounding areas. Jacksonville has some significant flooding but nothing catastrophic. It would be absurd in my opinion to move this game to Atlanta instead of Gainesville. I'd prefer it go to Knoxville before that.

News out of Jacksonville (and Charleston, SC) says historic flooding

So is it just me or is all you care about is the game not being played in Gville? South Florida and the Keys have issues, absolutely. Gainesville and the surrounding areas are about as bad as Atlanta and all of South Georgia. It's still raining like hell in Atlanta, still very windy. Gainesville may even be better than Atlanta right now.
