Game Day Suggestions for WKU

I have a request, and I'll probably be echoed by those Vol fans that aren't going to be among the honored 110,000 at the game.

If you're going to see the Vol Walk, and/or the Running of the T, could you PLEASE videotape it and put it on one of the file-sharing sites, so that others may enjoy as well??

Thank you, and Go Big Orange.

but this will be the first time I will be coming in from the north. Normally I come up from Chattanooga and I know the back roads to get me to the Ag Campus area and find parking around there.

But this game I'll be coming from Maggie Valley, NC. Any suggestions as to route and parking?

Just take I-40 West, and then take the James White Parkway exit when you get to Knoxville. This will take you to Neyland Drive or Downtown.

Is James White re-opened from westbound I-40? I haven't been back since the spring game, but it was still closed then, and of course all of last year. Had to get off on Hall of Fame Dr...

Yes, they have the interstate completed now so you can take James White exit from either direction.

Where are you staying? Me and my lady are doing the concert friday night too, and our tailgate is second to none. We get out there EARLY!

location, location, location... if we didn't get there that early to get our spot, somebody else would. we set up in the G-10 lot (not the deck), on top of that one-story garage, I think it's Thunder who parks his RV there. So we're set-up and having a beer by the time the fog rolls off the river. It's great! the spot is literally right between the river and Neyland, with bathrooms 30 yards away.

Isn't G-10 permit parking only? I don't have a parking permit, but my neighbor does and I have gone with him a couple of times and we parked in the lower section of G-10 garage and then jump over the wall and setup in the grass across from the river. You are right, very close to the bathrooms and stadium. Is there a lot near there that is not permit only or do you have a parking permit?

you are correct, it's permit only. I don't have one, but the guys I tailgate with have 2. I usually have them pick me up, take a cab there, or find a spot on campus to park and walk...depending on where I stay.

Yeah, I sometimes park around Cumberland and Henley and then just walk on down and tailgate with them anyways. I just make sure I send the cooler with them so I don't have to carry anything. That's works too.
