Game cannot end on defensive penalty

I know, beating a dead horse here. But I thought this was interesting, and I can't imagine college rules would be different. Start around the 2:15 mark, last play of the game there was a personal foul called on the defense and the offense got one untimed down at the end of the game and won.

Not that it matters at this point, and take it FWIW, but it wouldn't have been unreasonable to get a re-kick against Bama.

Pretty sure we would of had a re-kick IF we would of recovered the ball, however; since they did I don't think it would of mattered. That's still not the point though, the flag should of been thrown either way; that it wasn't is disgraceful.

It would have been Bama's ball anyway since they recovered the kick.

OK I saw this too, and also, why didn't a Vol player pick
up the blocked punt and run?

Anyway, wow..Vols outplayed the #1 team in the country
I didn't think Lane would turn it around so fast and
I see Tennessee is #7 in national recruiting ahead of USC so it looks like UT is heading for a dynasty just make sure to beat that Mr. Meyer fellow I don't like him too much

I was more concerned that the two linesmen were off like 2 yards every time they spotted the dang ball.. they ended up having to discuss the spot every time.. I've never seen them be soo far off before..

somebody in another thread was saying that it looked like the ref was pointing at the ball? the only people that could see him were bama players.... I don't have dvr.... anybody have a youtube for the last few seconds???

I know one thing for sure, no one on our team had any clue where the ball was.

We came up short guys, its hard to swallow for as well as our guys played. Just know that this is only the start of a very good ride.

DVR shows the guy definitely pointing toward the ball. His head is turned toward a couple of Bama players who are searching for the ball. Guy drops his arm and then they scramble and find the ball.

THIS is NOT intended to slam the refs. I don't know whether the Bama players saw him or what his intention was. He may have been marking the ball for the other refs. I don't know.

But he WAS POINTING toward the ball. That is clear.
