Game Attendance for Tennesssee Tech

Where do you live Shaun? I only ask because a lot of people not within an hr drive or so of Knoxville don't realize the investment or physical and mental drain a long weekend takes. It's a Friday-Sunday commitment for my family unless we're willing to put in a 15+ hr day (which isn't often the case). It requires cutting out of work early on Friday's or arriving in town around 11pm. That commitment is easier to give up at times when the product isn't as nice as we'd like or expect it to be. It doesn't make one less of a fan.

This is a perspective many don't have or realize. This also is a reason why football can be so important...the local economy gets a big boost due to game days. We get in the car, drive @12 miles to our parking garage, stop on the way home to eat, come in and watch more games on the tv (recorded or live). That is very different from a family making a several day and 100's of dollar (probably>$1,000 with ticket cost) commitment to come to the game.

If you don't come, doesn't mean you are not a true fan and all Vol.

I bet UT's#1Fan also claims to be World's Greatest Dad, but wants his kid to fail 3rd grade for coming home with an A-

Are you saying this season is an A-?

I wish I had you as a teacher in school. That is some grading curve!

Even with a free room at my grandparent's house in Oak Ridge, my wife and I still manage to spend $300/weekend minimum between tickets, gas, meals while traveling, parking, tailgating supplies and concessions; and its only 2 of us at this point. Next season, there will be 3 in the family and I'll either be upping the tickets, letting them go or going to games on my own and getting murdered when I get back for leaving my wife at home with a 6 month old haha.

I hope there's less than 50k there. Show Butch we won't stand for his coach speak shenanigans and that he better get his arse in gear or he's outta here. We're about championships, not consecutive appearances in bowl games.

That's right. Screw the players family alums etc let's show Butch who's boss. Brilliant

Excellent point. I drive 6 hours, take off Fridays, put dogs in 200.00 kennel weekend plus food, gas etc. Took this one off but will be back for last SEC games.:hi:

Never heard the official attendance. It looked pretty full except for the student section. That was surprising as well as disappointing. There were some of the terrace seats that were empty, not sure if they ever came in, didn't look up there after game started.
