Game Attendance for Tennesssee Tech

There are cheap people like me who will go because it's a bargain. The first game I took my daughter to was the Buffalo game during the Dooley years. I think there were about 88 K there. I would say about 89 or 90.

I hope there's less than 50k there. Show Butch we won't stand for his coach speak shenanigans and that he better get his arse in gear or he's outta here. We're about championships, not consecutive appearances in bowl games.

Hate to break it to you, but aging out of the TN school system before finishing 8th grade doesn't make you part of "we," the Volunteer family.

The players who give their all for Tennessee deserve better than the likes of you.

Please don't show up. You probably booed at halftime during the FL game too.

Had to give mine to one of my employees. Son has basketball practice so we can't go. Kids before Vol's.

Be loud and yell a few good times in my place friends. Wish I could make it. I just don't understand how people give up tickets.. I attended games in the Dooley years for fun, not because I had to!

Good thing that seeing a few people sell tickets online means a tiny crowd. That definitely was the case for the BoB with all those thousands of empty seats, right?

It takes a loser whose only way to feel like a winner is to be a "VFL" for the wins.

Some of the greatest memories of my time at UT were taking pictures for TNJN from the field during the horrors of the Dooley era.

You either get it or you don't. The magic has very little to do with how many Ws there are at the end of the season.

I'll be there. I'm looking forward to showing my girlfriend around campus. Plus, we will get to see some of the youth. I'm really anxious to see Dormady pass the ball. I swear I have only seen him throw two or three passes his entire career so far. Lol

Since you like really small crowds at football games....I am going to suggest you become a Commodore fan. Their stadium is less than 40K so you will be a Happy Camper week in and week out. Please delete your subscription to VN so you can be Vandy's#1Fan. :finger3:

nothing wrong with wanting to see a smaller crowd at todays game. it should send a message to the blue hairs and the ad that we botched this season (Lyle Jones Style). and aren't gonna put up with mediocrity. it's the only way we as fans of the vols have any say what so ever about our team.

Nah, money talks. If you want to make a statement, don't donate/buy tickets. The AD could care less if you come to the game as long as the money flows into the coffers. And the blue hairs have no more influence than you...unless they are big money donors...the AD will listen to Big Jim et al - regardless of the color of hair and whether attend or not.

It's amazing that 4 of our losses the last two years are to playoff teams with 3 of the 4 very close. However the loss to USCe trumped all those games.

We bought tix from a season holder for face-value. I realize we could have gotten a better price at the game but we need four so I wanted to already have that taken care of so I don't have to worry about it later. Taking my five year old to his first game. I think he'll love the TN Walker.

I was actually thinking it could be less than that. I'm seeing a RIDICULOUS amount of people trying to get rid of them tonight as well. Some for free. I work or I would attend. It's senior night, and those boys deserve a full crowd.

Why would SR night not be on the last home game? I don't think that's the case.

Hey if you don't want to come to the greatest place on earth and watch us go "1-0" than okay.....

Where do you live Shaun? I only ask because a lot of people not within an hr drive or so of Knoxville don't realize the investment or physical and mental drain a long weekend takes. It's a Friday-Sunday commitment for my family unless we're willing to put in a 15+ hr day (which isn't often the case). It requires cutting out of work early on Friday's or arriving in town around 11pm. That commitment is easier to give up at times when the product isn't as nice as we'd like or expect it to be. It doesn't make one less of a fan. After home games up until now, BoB and College Station, we're flat exhausted and don't feel like making the 4 hr trek the rest of the season.
