Game 2 ???

Spectrum/ DIsney, ABC, ESPN screwed me last year on Thursday night of week 1 just as the Gators took the field. I switched to YouTubeTV and haven't looked back. You can watch live anywhere, have your local channels, get unlimited DVR space, can log in and watch on the ESPN app, get six accounts for 1 price, and each account has their own dedicated DVR space for about $80 a month. Tell them to pound sand

I did a 21-day free trial of YouTube tv in order to watch the game tonight.

How many of you got screwed and all your espn and abc channels are gone?
I’m assuming you’re talking about a cable or satellite contract dispute? For the life of me I don’t understand how either are still in business. Pay for a streaming service. You’ll be happier and you’ll save money. I’m a dinosaur to, I don’t like change. But it really is a no brainer at this point.

Fubo TV also carries all the UT games. I was able to stream Saturday's game while camping in the N. Georgia mountains. Plus I get Ballys sports South and all the Braves games.

Been on Sling for years now. But every provider goes through these carriage disputes. When the ESPN/Disney contract is up you're gonna get this stuff no matter who you have. I tend to side with the carrier over Disney.

But the up side of streaming TV is you can just switch to one of the others for a month or two, then decide whether to go back or not. Satellite and cable take forever to change providers. But Hulu Live, YTTV, Fubo, Sling, Ect. Can be changed in a half hour if you don't like something.

With contract disputes and the like disrupting service, I wonder if event organizers will start providing their own direct to customer streaming services? Their own camera, camera crews, etc. You pay for the event like you pay for tickets to physically attend. Cut out the leeches entirely (ESPN, DISH, DirecTV, and everybody else).

So, did anyone else see the irony in all of the DirecTV commercials shown on ESPN during the games this weekend (including last night)? Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face. I want to know which marketing genius thought it would be a good idea to drop some of the primary channels you use for your advertising?!!

Now that Disney owns ESPN they think they have all the leverage to demand more from the tv providers and get their way. Same game plan they used on Spectrum last yr at the beginning of FB season.

I’m a directv stream guy. Love it - better than YTTV for me- love the weather channel- but the reason I have it is for Bally’s and the Braves games.
I signed up for 21 day free trial of YTTV last night, and will hope that DTV gets the mess fixed within that window. If not, I’ll do a trial of FuBu for another week- and then it’ll be playoff ball and no need for Bally’s any further.
At that point I’ll run YTTV from then on… or at least until DTV gets it straightened out -
BUT- I have realized that YTTV isn’t that much worse/different, and if it ends up being cheaper - then they win.

YTTV is the way to go. Surprised they haven't put DirectTV out of business yet, actually. I switched several years ago and haven't looked back since. Some years I have only subscribed to YTTV during football season and cut it out in the offseason.
