Lady Vols take game 2 over Miss St. 10-3

Lady Vols score 6 in the first, 2 in the fourth and 2 in the 6th.

Miss St. scored 2 in the first, 1 in the second and threatened all game with runners on base. Ellen relieved Ivy in the second and gets her 17th win. Tory Lewis makes a great running catch at the wall and throws to first to comple the game ending double play.

Also, at this point shouldn't Ellen be starting every game? She seems quite a bit better than Ivy.

Tory is doing a nice job reestablishing the centerfield position that we lost with Kelly Grieve. She's made some nice catches lately similar to the ones Kelly made. The team as a whole has played really good the last 4 games.

LVs sweep MSU with an 8-0, run rule shutout from Ivy Renfroe on Sunday, 3/25. Melissa Davin had a triple. Shelby Burchell was 2-for-2 with a couple of RBIs. Reportedly it was very windy again today at the start and Ivy had 0 BB in her five innings. Great job by her pitching on a blustery day. In contrast, MSU's starting pitcher had 6 walks in 3.1 innings. Tough 8-game road trip but they played well and went 6-2 with a big win over #1 bammer.
