This is our equivalent to the NC St game last year:

Cuse = better than Pack
Aguilar = better than 1st year Nico
Line = 5 sacks today vs 2 against NC St
WR = Staley is our guy. Matthew’s did OK. Brazzell should be second string IMO and be challenged to take it to the next level fast or not make it to the next level.
OL - MUCH BETTER. Not a real test IMO. Still they allowed 5 sacks last year and 0 this year. Mobile QB with quick read and release helps.
Dbs - Not their best performance. Need Boo and McCoy back and 100%
.LB - Thin. I think when AC went down that’s when they started lighting up the middle of the field. Am I wrong?
TE = solid. Kitz is a star

I’m giving this game a B

That post was made at the end of the first half. I'm sure many felt that way as well at that time. The second half was questionable I'll give you that. But just realize the context. At the end of first half I'm sure you were sky high as well.
No one felt that way at the time. Most people can say we are playing well without declaring us a national champion.

End of day. Was a great day. Didn’t adjust to address Yasin Willis and that is my biggest issue.

We continue to allow 3rd and long to become first downs

Otherwise the execution for opening day was A+

Not too concerned about the D line. Three of our best four DT’s were dinged up or out. If we don’t get them back for Georgia then I’ll be concerned.

Joey Aguilar played far better than most expected. If nothing else, the offense was once again high speed, high octane. Most of the high throws can be corrected. His adrenaline was sky high. First game with a ton of pressure to show he was going to make fans forget the drama of the Iamaleava clan. Rushed the throws, led with his elbow forcing the ball high. The good thing is they were on target and not in front or behind the receiver. Hazle just needs to get him relaxed and it will be better. He even improved noticeably in the second half.
Injuries are the biggest concern. A strange amount of cramping for a game played in a dome.
