1. While UCONN has some nice individual players, the sum of the parts is totally underwhelming.
2. Gardner-Webb is bad. I can see why they're picked at the back end of the Atlantic Sun. They have about 3 real D-I players.
3. Got a chance to speak briefly with Pete Gillen. I'm stunned nobody has hired him since he left UVA.
4. The guy sitting behind me who had UCONN -12' may well have broken his hand punching his seat as the buzzer sounded.
5. Someone, whose opinion I have great respect for, just told me the Memphis-OU game will be much closer than expected. I disagree, but it should be interesting.

As I said last week, I expect this to be a challege for Memphis. If Oklahoma is able to slow the tempo down, they could pull the upset.

The spread only has Memphis as a 7 pt. favorite. I can see it being close most of the game. But I'm probably totally wrong and will look foolish in about 2 hrs.

OU's only chance is if Griffin can control the paint. He's a freshman also, so we will see.

Memphis is extremely athletic....Still not completely sold on them though...UNC and UCLA would tear them up in a half-court offense...Good team, with alot of talent, but I just dont see them going all the way....Okla is hanging tough with them, they are outmatched but playing a good game..

With 11 minutes left to go, it looks like he may have known what he was talking about. We'll see how Memphis finishes.

How well did that Davidson game go for the Tarheels in the tear 'em up category?

Oops, forgot about you posting the line at 7. Guess the bettors are happy..

I have been to 3 Memphis games this year so far and tonight was the worst i have seen them play. I really think it was a off night for the guys. They really just didn't get into there game. OU gave Memphis a game thats for sure, plus 40 mins of zone D they played very well. I look for Memphis to be on there A game Fri. night vs. UCONN.
