GA Tech recruiting rankings

Its all about the system with these type of teams. I'm hoping this is what is happening here at UT and once he ha all the pieces to properly execute the system we can be one of these teams. We can go into any game against any team and be a true threat to win.

Honestly I think the only thing holding us back right now is a horrible Oline coach and depth. SOrry but the Oline coach had a pretty solid line last year and the exuse was they weren't his players, then this year he gets his players and yet more excuses on why they are horrible. If its just more excuses next year he needs to go regardless of his history with CBJ.

I also think Bajakian needs to add a few more plays to his playbook but I'll give him one more year to see what his play calls can do with a better line. Obviously if the Oline is just as bad next year then as an OC he needs to learn how to call plays to overcome that and if he can't regardless of the line play then he obviously isn't capable of coaching in the SEC as it takes alot of adjusting to win in the SEC,

Tennessee needs to go back to a power running game. We were good when we had one. Wisconsin is running all over Auburn.

Yeah, Bobby Dodd isn't bad. It's been renovated a few years ago. From the upper end zone level you have an incredible view of downtown Atlanta.

I remember when I was growing up in the '80's Tennessee played GT just about every year. That went by the wayside when the SEC expanded. Back then it was a good home and away yearly series.

We played ever year. In the 60s the ga tech game was bigger than the Bama game.

Exactly why I don't want to hear anymore excuses from this coaching staff about "youth". Our O line should be outstanding in run and pass blocking or make a change at O line coach. We've got the same stars (3 and 4) up and down our OL as most SEC lines. Time for the O line coach to put up next year and dominate or remove yourself.

Your missing the whole point sir. You can't make chicken salad out of chicken sh**. Recruiting material does matter, but the ratings are not infallible. Oregon,Missouri,Boise, ga tech and others have recruited outstanding talent, regardless of the ratings. Don't misunderstand the point. We otoh have recruited horribly on the offensive line. We have no offensive tackles in reality.

Fuad had an incredible leg and made something like 80% of his kicks beyond 50 yards that season. Of course the goal posts were much wider back then but still he could kick it a mile.

I can't figure how they beat #1 Alabama and roll over for a 6-5 GT team.
