I agree it’s fine to express opinions. . If he had committed to UT, do you think anyone would say he’s overrated? It’s wrong to downgrade a kid. Lap finished.

BTW, little did we know Tennessee already had a better RB, Reggie Cobb, on campus being redshirted and later would sign Chuck Webb 2 yrs later. Thompson would have been 3rd string behind those 2 but we thought it was the end of the would the day Thompson signed with PSU.

It's okay to think Horn is better than Simpson. It is okay to say it now. It was okay when it was said prior to Simpsons announcement. It's okay to think, because of that, that one is overrated slightly and one is underrated slightly. This isn't a moral issue.

The ones who previously called him overrated (and there were more than a few) wouldn’t have embraced silence if he’d chosen UT.

You held out that long? Kudos for patience. The Georgia State loss should have been an alarming wake-up call. That is the point I was done but realized it wasn't enough to get him fired in year 2. The UK game, this year, was just final confirmation after the fools gold finish to 2019. The final nail was the total inability to even recklessly cheat his way to a winning record.

Quite a number of people were saying he was overrated well before his commitment. Doesn’t mean they wouldn’t be happy having him, and certainly doesn’t mean they wouldn’t support him as QB at Tennessee. I don’t wish him physical harm, but if there was some dishonesty in the recruitment, I hope it bears appropriate fruit. Your desire to have a moment doesn’t justify lying to people, and it sounds like both UT and CU felt that happened.

Hopefully UT gets Sam Horn in this class and can fill some positions of need and build toward top 10 level classes in Heupel's next couple of years.

We all need to be realistic about this year's class as it appears obvious the in state prospects aren't going to be like the 2014 in state group.

Ehh, bit of a broad stroke. I've long maintained my affinity for Horn over Simpson, despite the difference in their relative hype and offer lists. You and I have had this conversation, so no real need to rehash the nuts and bolts of it.

For me, the only thing worth celebrating if Ty had chosen Tennessee would have been the immediate publicity of Heupel landing a 5* kid that Bama and Clemson both wanted after a month on the job, as well as the potential impact it could have on the instate kids from the '22 class.

I would have still maintained my belief that Ty is a bit overrated and hoped for the best on the field, but with the realization that his greatest contribution to the university may have likely come in the form of pied piper and cheerleader. Perhaps similar to Vic Wharton.

I was hammered by some folks in his thread so I'm gonna pull an @BruinVol and Pat myself on the back. The kid has no class and the old saying probably applies in that the apple pie doesn't fall far from the oven.
