'22 GA QB Sam Horn (Mizzou commit)

So you also heard the part where AP said this is a bad look for Ty and his dad for stringing the team along.

Also, you are wrong. It was a ton of wasted time. Ever since Heupel got hired he had called Ty nearly everyday and was strung along by him and him family. Ty said he knew he was going to Bama February 1st. Heupel was hired the 27th of January. Ty daid he cut UT from his final 3 and chose between Bama and Clemson before the 1st so realistically Ty never gave Heupel a chance. (But kept stringing him along like we had a chance).

Furthermore, what relationship are you talking about. Ty will no longer be recruited to UT and his dad is not a coach at a feeder school for the University, so there is no relationship to build.
I mean the relationship where bama brings in talented qbs every year and if he doesn’t get the starting job having spent time “being strung along” could really pay off!

Horns parents are UT grads. Have season tickets. We are cranking up pressure now. Why Ty leading us on like he did is lack of class.

No, our previous staff being so stupid as to put all your plans on 1 QB is the problem along with the potential for NCAA sanctions

Thank you. And Ty said he knew Feb 1st. Clemson is pissed too. UT was only in it for show when you add stuff up. Wasted a lot of staffs time. Jason should have known better.

Well Clemson can go “F” themselves. Glad they got played.

Turn on the film.. he’s not wrong

Right. You guys who watch film on the side know more than coaches whose careers depend on evaluating film.

And it’s still classless to try to temper the excitement of a young mans decision by cutting him down. But you guys go ahead if it makes you feel better.

I don’t usually say this kind of thing, but if there’s ever a situation where it’s true...

If you grew up going to games at Neyland and cheering for UT but can’t pull the trigger to come play QB for the VOLS in a high-powered offense with a national champion and Heisman runner-up QB as your HC, and would really rather go to Missouri... I think we would probably be better off with somebody else playing QB.

That being said, hope Horn comes and breaks records here.

He’s only been recruited here for a few weeks now, that’s what’s F’d up. Imagine being a top tiered prospect and your favorite school doesn’t talk to you. You’d have to bury that hurt and move on. Now we are talking to him and he even stated that he was being guarded, he didn’t want to get his hopes up. He also said, he sees the attention is real now. Horn will be a Vol, not because he loves Tennessee alone, but because CJH built a true relationship.

It's classless to voice opinions on how much success a college football prospect will have in the future? You do realize you're in the forum for doing exactly that, right? Take a lap.

Yeah, understood there are relationship factors, etc. But given the new staff coming in in January of his junior year, I think that should be enough time for my point to hold.

I think we do. Horn stated that he sees the attention as real this time. He will ions back up and he will be a Vol.
