If he's following Joey Halzle, that's his position coach at UT. That can't be a bad thing.

A lot of that goes out the window with the new staff.... As for Simpson... It is a given that a new staff was gonna try and court the five star QB from in state. It'd be dumb not to.

But this staff isn't shackled by statements regarding back up plans. They started recruiting both of them at the same time at Tennessee.

I know it’s crazy talk, but so many things make me think Pruitt was intentionally sabotaging the program. Not recruiting a high 4 star QB who loves UT, refusing to bench JG, not letting assistant coaches coach the way they needed to, gross negligence with the ncaa stuff, making players like To’oTo’o lose weight when he was arguably the best player on defense his freshman season with the heavier weight. I’m probably missing some things too. Either he’s a complete moran or it was intentional.

I would agree with you, but Pruitt isn't smart enough to do that.

I hate Pruitt more than any past coach we’ve had because he’s done the most damage..but yeah that’s crazy talk Lol. No coach is going to intentionally ruin their own career & the possible upwards trajectory just because they went to the rival school.

He just has the IQ of a skateboard

Pruitt didn’t recruit Horn bc he had Ty as a silent after offering his dad QB coach. There was no reason to for Pruitt. He had his guy. JG yes Pruitt lost his job for being a moron there. Henry T needed to lose some weight and gain good weight. That wasn’t his problem. Not having a normal training program in yr 2 and good coaching was the problem

Yep. Timing couldn't be helped. Every HC that left had a great relationship with a top QB it seems. Clemson benefitted greatly although who knows what might have happened during recruitment.
