GA Players say CJP same as Kirby Smart

How is coach Richt in any shape good? He was below average at worst and mediocre at best. He couldn’t do jack with so much Georgia talent. Kirby accomplished more in 3 years than Richt did in decades and half.

Who gets credit for all that GA talent getting on GA's actual team? And why did the 2 or 3 coaches before him have nowhere near Richt's success, even though the school is still located in the same place?

You could make a similar argument that Richt's initial success was due to Jim Donnan's recruiting.

Our facilities are no longer the top notch in the country. OSU is a perennial 10-11 win program. As is Clemson and UGA. We are not. We havent won double digit games in a decade. Expecting us to be able to recruit close to those teams on reputation alone is crazy.
I’d beg to differ as far as facilities. Theyre consistently ranked in the top 5 of the country. And I never said we’re a perennial 10-11 win team on a yearly basis;I know the 90s and 2000s have left us but there’s no reason we can’t get back to that. Butch was able to attract recruits and I’m betting to say Pruitt can as well

Lol. Did you expect Saban to publicly trash one of his former assistants? I mean come on..

Exactly! Do you expect players or coaches from one of your division rivals to say that our current coach sucks? That's kinda my point. We really need a sarcasm font.

That is where Murray has it wrong. The major issue was not with Richt, per se, but the Athletic Director by Pruitt going public with the push for an indoor practice facility. The AD who wanted Pruitt to stay quiet asked Richt to keep Pruitt's mouth shut. Pruitt and Richt's relationship began to sour. The Georgia fan based liked Pruitt and his stance to build an indoor facility and disliked the AD immensely and Richt was eventually forced out.

I was under the impression that all the recent recruits thought Bowden Wyatt is swell. How would decent facilities improve on that tradition?

The difference in Smart and Pruitt...Smart hires Pittman to redefine trench warfare in Athens....Pruitt hires his college roommate that helped create the need for Pittman in Athens....OL play will be a recurring problem for the RTDB Vol fans.

I poked fun at Richt on page 1, but I place Richt on roughly the same level as Fulmer. If you look at their careers, the stats and trajectory is almost identical minus UT's magical 1998 year where it all came together.

Yep, just like if my aunt had a part then she would be my uncle....

I'll take fulmer and a natty!

I would rather have a coach that ruffles feathers than a guy that everyone likes. If everyone likes you it means that you go along and you're a follower for the most part. We need a guy like CJP who has talent and the ability to coach at a high level (albeit as a coordinator) in a winning program for a perfectionist (Nick Saban). If Saban says that Derrick Dooley was a great hire it just means that he has potential and failed to live up to it when he was asked to be a CEO when he would be a better intern for a while.
