Interior offensive lineman Dontrell Glover is expected to release a top list of schools sooner than later. Expect the Vols to be on this shortlist, as we feel like they are among the top tier here right now, despite the fact Glover hasn’t yet visited campus. Florida State is leading the way after a recent visit, but the Vols have his attention and will have their chance as they get him on campus in the coming weeks and months.

We expect Dontrell Glover to make his way to campus in the coming weeks, with the first week of April being most likely. Tennessee remains one of the teams near the top of the recruitment for the standout interior offensive lineman, so his first visit to campus will be an important one, as he looks to learn more about the Tennessee program and offensive system. He has connected well with Glen Elarbee and the staff early on.

We still expect Dontrell Glover to be in town on April 6th as the Vols continue to work in his recruitment. Florida State has maintained some momentum here, but Glover has not yet been to campus at Tennessee, so getting him to town is important for the Vols. He has hit it off with Glen Elarbee and the family has a long-standing relationship with offensive analyst Max Thurmond, who coached his uncle in college.

Florida State is still the publicly perceived leader for Dontrell Glover, but we have heard plenty of chatter about Tennessee and Auburn over the last couple of weeks. This one could have plenty of twists and turns before his currently scheduled July 1st commitment date. We believe the Vols are a real player moving forward in this one as they will get him back on campus the weekend of June 14th for an official visit.

While in the state of Georgia, Elarbee also checked in on a couple of interior offensive line targets. The veteran coach checked in on three-star Mal Waldrep and four-star Dontrell Glover. Both of the interior prospects have official visits scheduled to Tennessee for next month, and the Vols remain in the thick of their recruitment. Alec Abeln joined Elarbee at Langston Hughes after checking in on several other schools in the area.
