'18 GA LB JJ Peterson (Tennessee signee)

Pruitt is going to be a beast. Dude is country as cornbread and that works with recruits in the South. Plus he is down to earth and uses no BS lines to get your attention. Straight talker and honest. He's also shown he is dedicated to his kids and these recruits see that

Some of the dudes in current team in for a rude awakening when Pruitt and co have them full time. No more BS. No more it's ok being average. No more optional workouts. You either all in to win or your out the door

Daniel Brooks was highly rated.

Another kid I can’t recall his name from Memphis that was a 5 star that never played.

Not to mention the rings he can flash while sitting in the living room

First things first, barring some huge turn of events Tennessee is set to receive some major good news on the recruiting trail Saturday, as U.S. Army All-American linebacker JJ Peterson is slated to pick the Vols on national TV during the all-star game

Yes he is implying that if he stumbles across a UT hat it is over, sort of in the scenario where recruits announce what school they are going to by having 3 hats on the podium and then selecting their choice.

He is effectively saying -- if he find a UT hat while he is visiting -- his process will only have one hat -- UT.

Work with me here people. "This is gold Jerry gold."

Lol! Love it! And the uninferred nerdy references to Airplane. "Umm, I took two years of Jive."

Geezus! "What does he mean if he finds a hat? Can somebody please find this fellow a hat?"

Lmao!

Per Hubbs

Peterson hasn’t even tried to hide his newfound affection for Tennessee, publicly telling multiple outlets of his plans. It’s a tremendous coup for Jeremy Pruitt & Co., as Peterson is set to choose to Tennessee sight unseen. The 4-star linebacker won’t take his first visit to Knoxville until next weekend when he OVs with the Vols.

While Peterson has downplayed his relationship with Pruitt and Sherrer, there’s no denying his comfort level with the two coaches is what dramatically swung his decision late in the process.

It will be interesting to see if Peterson truly shuts down his recruitment after his trip to Tennessee on Jan. 12, or if he opts to still take his previously planned OV to Alabama later in the month.

They’re “Peterson”ing out. :w00t:
Re: #1 OLB JJ Peterson Updates
Once he announces Vile, move on to a LB thats wants to be Crimson. K Ruggs, is maybe not highly rated but he sure wants to wear crimson and has some talent and is not much smaller than JJ. Because there are not many highly regarded LBs left out there.

People were asking in this thread about Propst experience with WRs yesterday. A guy I used to coach under played with him at jacksonville st, and Propst was a receiver then.

Here is a local perspective on Propst.
I am a Colquitt County resident. I will tell you this. He is more than qualified for the WR coaching position no doubt. Here are the advantages to hiring him.
1. He is an offensive genius
2. He has mirrored his high school programs after the Alabama training programs and has close ties with Saban.
3. His players are so well conditioned that by the time they play ball at the next level that they find that most college programs are somewhat easier.
Downsides
1. He has rubbed a lot of people in town raw with his entitlement attitude because he is the head Football coach Rush Propst.
2. He is dedicated to his job for sure but the parents never know his schedules because it whatever he feels at the time and your kid may have to be at school at 5:00AM for conditioning and may not be home until 10.:30 after practice at night and he is unapologetic about it.
3. He has had issues on a personal level paying local merchants for services.

Overall he is a great football coach. He is a very successful coach. He has a lot of contacts and will be a great recruiter. He does take care of his players when they need help, but on a personal level he has rubbed a lot of people wrong in Colquitt County. He will be missed greatly as a coach if he takes the position from a x's and o's perspective but he wont be missed so much by a majority of the county on a personal level. Like i said he has taken care of a lot of his players and secured well over 100 scholarships to play at the next level since he has been here but he has an entitlement syndrome

Propst from what I’ve gathered over the years is most successful as a game planner. He studies your film and figures out what you’re good at and takes that away forcing you to either run or pass which you might not be so good at. But it’s his offensive game plan that’s deadly. He finds one or two weaknesses, say a slow lb or a cb that doesn’t like to hit in run support, and will exploit that weakness relentlessly. Just keeps pounding at the soft spots. He will be a good one if he comes

I would imagine if he is the WR coach that he will also have the passing game coordinator title also.

Oh Pruitt will rely on him heavily for the entire game plan, dude camped out at his place and wouldn’t take no for an answer cause he wanted to learn from him so badly. They are tight
