'20 GA ATH Arik Gilbert (LSU commit)

Except that Pappoe was 6' 205. Too small to play in a 3-4 front 7 unless as a hybrid LB/safety which was the issue with UGA.
I’m confused UGA as do we have a $ position that is perfect for that. Also if he doesn’t fit in a 3-4 why would he fit in a 4-3? 3-4 is built for more speed (less weight)

Still say some of this is orchestrated. You have AV saying he isn’t coming here. Before that you heard Tennessee is gaining momentum. Now Rusty acting like he is trending away from UGA, but Bama is on it.

All that drives clicks and stories and revenue for these recruiting sites.

Every scheme is different depending on what "base" they run. Fundamentally the 4-3 has only one "ILB" while the other two can play a number of roles depending on scheme. JRM was the same size as OP and played coverage and off LOS in run support.

With the 3-4 its mainly two pass rushing LBs and two MLBs. The money spot is in their nickel (I'm pretty sure) which is what we were selling OP. Couldn't overcome the cabin. Mama had cashed the check.

I don't typically agree with most of your sarcastic jabs, but this one has merit. The Henry To real estate only goes so far. It can't be the go-to counterpoint every single time from now until eternity.
That's why it isn't. Henry To, Darnell Wright, DWA, Trey Smith. They beat us 9 times out of 10, but we can still beat them for recruits even with where we are right now. Can't wait until we're winning again and can beat them even more.

Wasn't even in the discussion but I'm gonna ask anyway, can you please chill tfo..

It's just annoying.

There's an ignore feature, sir.

Use it.

Just because you don't like me doesn't mean I don't have the right to talk.

So the answer is NO.

No, I get that there are more examples. HT is just the one most commonly harped on. It isn't impossible to beat Bama for a recruit, but you said so yourself, 90% of the time we lose on that H2H matchup. BGS is saying the same thing. No one is saying we can't match up with Bama. Just that it is very rare that we win that battle, and justifiably so.
