It's Florida week! Looking for input on necessary arrival time at G10 garage. I come down once a year for a game, this year it's the gators. I bought a G10 pass last year for the UGA game and was able to get a spot on the top level. I got to the garage around 6am or 6:15am. There was already a line about 30 deep. But the top level didn't actually fill up for a few hours.

Obviously this game is huge, gameday in town, all of that stuff which I understand. Just trying to plan out what time to arrive. I guess I'm planning on arriving between 6am and 630am. We're staying at the Hilton so likely park the car with my buddy and then get a ride back to wake up our wives and get the party started.

Any advice or thoughts are appreciated. GBO!

Stories like this make me feel terrible for not going to every single home game since I live in the Knoxville area.. It wouldn't be near the hassle for me..

We may or may not visit the Gameday set, just depends where they set up. Have they announced that yet? I'm more concerned with making sure we get a spot on the top level of the garage.

I know the Gameday event will have people visiting campus earlier than normal...but not sure how many of those people will be G10 folks. The gameday set usually draws more of the college kids and I guess parents with kids. Of course, I could be way off on that. Just judging by what I see on TV every saturday morning.

One tough decision will be Friday night. Knowing I need to get up around 5 or 530 to get to the G10 lot...how hard do we go friday night. Last year for UGA game we said we would take it easy. Easier said than done! We were out until 3am and then up before 6am. It's getting harder and harder to do that shi$...now at 32 yrs old.

Check to see if the Hilton has a shuttle service. If so, get the phone number and tell then what you're going to do. We did this last year at UF and it worked out great. Parked the SUV, set up the tent, locked up everything, called the Hilton shuttle service to pick us up and take us back to the hotel for a couple of hours of zzz's.

If they don't call a cab service and have them take you back to G10 when you're ready.

Nail on the head here. Last year we got truck parked and set up early, then got a cab back to hotel, grabbed breakfast, etc...then went back to truck around 9am or so to get the festivities rolling!

I know quite a few G10'ers and we are all getting there at 6AM to set up. I don't know how many others are doing this but that will be 5 spots taken(upper deck that is.)

Thanks for the heads-up, I appreciate it. I'll probably do the same thing. Arrive around 6, set-up, then head back to the Hilton to wake up the wives, get them some food/starbucks, and then back to G10 around 8 or 9 to get the festivities going.

Thanks again. Go Vols!
