G1's location is prime. Right in the middle of it all. But that is also it's downfall. You ain't going anywhere fast after the game ends. If you are the type of person that plans on hanging out after the game, enjoying the crowd and the tailgates wrapping up that would be fine but if you are someone who likes to get home you are completely landlocked and stuck.

G3 still gets you close to Circle Park and all the fun stuff going on there but is easier to escape at the end. The police will dump you out directly on Neyland drive and you will just have to deal with the traffic there, which honestly does seem to move pretty well.

I don't know as much about 23b but considering it is next to G1 I bet you are going to get land locked just like G1 so you might as well get G1 and be right in the heart of it all.

Parked in G-3 for 10 or more years. Easy in/out. Can't tailgate in there...low ceiling and no atmosphere; but, it's a short walk UP A HILL to Circle Park. In my younger years, that climb (with all the food and tailgating accouterment) was not an issue. It is an issue now...so I'm in G-16 and have a slightly longer, flat-surface walk over to Circle Park and all the pregame hoopla.

Keep in mind too that access to that 23B lot is going to change. The portion of Andy Holt Blvd that runs up to it is going to turn into an extension of the pedestrian walkway up to Fred Brown Hall, so you'll only get in and out of the lot via Pat Head Summitt St as far as I know.

Also Andy Holt is closed through there for several more months anyway because of the new dining hall they're in the middle of building for the west campus.

Edit: on the other hand, that'll be a nice walk straight to the stadium from your parking space once they complete that walkway.

Stay home on your sofa. Won't have to worry about the 3 P's, parking, peeing and partying. Won't have to worry about the 9 inch wide seats and all the 36" wide spectators, the $14 beers, the fellow drunks falling or puking on you, getting into a fight, having your young kids hearing words you never use at home in front of them or being caught up in a terrorist attack. Come to think of it I can't think of a single reason to go, but be that as it may, I hope to live long enough to take my 2 oldest grandsons so they don't become Memphis Tigers fans due to the influence of their mother and other grandparents and my youngest grandson whose other grandparents are a mixed marriage of Georgia Bullpups and Bammers. Can't let them be completely brainwashed by the trashy sides of the family.

Depends, are you tailgating, or want quick entrance/exit? What are you looking to do? I can answer this fairly easy with a reply of what you're looking to do.

Which for quick entry and exit

Which for tailgating which probably is 23 cause we’ve done that there and it was a blast.

G3 for entance/exit and 23 for tailgating. Im not too familiar with mcclung garage but where it's located it can't be quick. If i had to choose from the 3, it's 23 bc i love to tailgate and hang out. If you choose g3, I'm in g10 on top this year, feel free to come tailgate.

I will add on here something to consider. Once a year UTMC usually has a tailgate and tickets for a game. They give us parking passes for that game and they are always out at the Ag campus. The first time I got the parking pass I cursed a little under my breath at the location but it was free and I was grateful to have them. Let me tell you. The Ag campus is not that bad. Very easy in and out. You are right at Alcoa Highway. The tailgating is good, it is pretty, you have a view of the river from many of the spots. The only trade off is riding the shuttle from the parking lot to the stadium, but honestly, I would rather be comfortable in an air conditioned shuttle then sitting bumper to bumper in traffic not moving. The AG tickets are probably a lot cheaper too.
