The problem with this cartoon is that the characters holding phones are all old men. Old folks are the most likely to attempt to render aid, call for aid, or coach the more physically able to provide aid. It is younger people who are more likely to video someone in distress rather than trying to help. Afterwards, they are more likely to defend their inaction by proclaiming, “I did help. I live streamed the events so that others would learn about it in real time.”
