Have you ever been to that "stadium"? It's a craphole. Renovations could not fix it. It needs to be demolished. Start over with a clean slate.

IMO that whole campus fits that description also.

This puts it in prespective,most exciting year in the last 50 for the Dorks and still they can't draw 40,000!!!!!!!! Forgive my ignorance, but where was Franklin before Vandy and what did he do?

Franklin was the head coach in waiting at Maryland. After Ralph Freizen left, the A.D. decided that they didn't really want Franklin to be their head coach, so
when Vandy called for an interview, Maryland was well pleased.
If the truth be known, Maryland probably paid Vandy to take him. This way, they weren't obligated to promote him to head coach.

Heard a telling stat yesterday that partially explains Vanderbilt's inability to fill their stadium. There are currently 120,000 living Vanderbilt alumni of which only 10,000 live in the Nashville/middle TN area. While the three states that makeup the largest percent of their student body are: TN 11%, NY 9% and TX 9%.

I understand that your fanbase is not strictly confined to those who attended the school, but they're a "national" school trying to compete vs a state school in fandom and exacerbating that problem is, very few alumni stick around, meaning less generations growing up rooting for Vanderbilt. As a comparison, WKU has approximately 10k-15k alumni in the Nashville area, more than Vanderbilt.
