Fulmer's future coaching prospects (merged)

They just had a coach who could recruit and do nothing with those recruits on the field. Why would they want round 2 of that with Phil?

I wonder if he's even talked with them about it. I just don't think he'd even consider going there, so I got a laugh out of it.

Am I the only one that finds this amusing? They acknowledge he's a long shot, but looking at their list I think all of their candidates are. :eek:lol:

K-State Collegian - Meet the candidates

It doesn't surprise me that they would want him. I'd be surprised if he was interested in them though. They probably think this as well, and I suspect that's why he's considered a long shot

It would be nice if they could spell his name correctly. Maybe this Phillip Fullmer character will be great.

Fulmer probably wouldn't be interested in a program that last century was among the worst in D1. If Fulmer's forte is recruiting (maybe, maybe not) then he surely wouldn't be interested in a place where recruiting is very difficult and where his vaunted won-loss record of last century would suffer, not to mention the difficult competition.

That's exactly what I thought when I read it. I'm pretty sure KS was the first program to lose 500 games. I highly doubt Fulmer would be interested in that.

I think Fulmer wouldn't go to K-State but what do I know? What I do know is that the media needs to update Fulmer's picture for his bio. That picture has to be at least 20 years old.

There's a negative connotation regarding Kansas coaches and body styles but I won't go there.

maybe KState remembers how well UT did against them a few years back in the Cotton Bowl... oh wait :eek:hmy:

Manhatten, Kansas makes Knoxville look like Manhatten, NY. It's 50 miles from now where.
QFT.

Manhattan, KS is easily the worst town I have ever lived in. For a town that is in the middle of Kansas and hosts and Ag School, you would expect some laid back, relaxed country bars. Nope. Apparently, anyone who enjoys social drinking at the university also thinks they relate more to the lyrics and lifestyles of 50 Cent than to Waylon Jennings.

Did I mention, I cannot stand Manhattan, KS? I did? Well, to top it all off, due to the surge at Fort Riley, the guy to girl ratio is about 15:1 in the bars. "Go ugly early" has never been more applicable.

Fulmer has the recruiting base in roads laid. He would be a good candidate for the job. But after what Clemson did to us in the Peach bowl a few years back, I would think the fan base is hoping for a bit more.
