Can Phil make the right hire

No, and all the finalists are a worse hire than Leach.

Just no. That's not true. Not even close. Leach is barely over 0.500 in SIX FRICKIN YEARS at Wash. St. He wouldn't get that long here.

In 16 years of coaching he's won ONE division chamlionship. Not even ONE conference championship.

Yeah that ol' pirates schtick is old and his ships full of holes.

Can you please never post again?

I realize that it's D4H and he posts some crazy things, but he does have a point here.

Although everyone loves and respects Phillip Fulmer (I do too), we still need to hold him accountable for this upcoming hire.

Also, I think everyone would agree that hiring a proven loser (9-36) would not be good for this university. Hopefully Phillip Fulmer feels the same way.

These were just names we don’t know we could have landed any of them. Currie was reported out there being interviewed by Leach for the AD job out there.

UT's so screwed up right now, they don't even know if they are coming or going......God Bless this Circus shat show:good!:

He can not be let off the hook because he is a VFL. If this coach fails, he has to get the boot. All you people cupping his grapes need to agree that he gets one coaching hire, if it doesn't work out he has to go. And boy, not looking good right now.

Venables is the only one I'd have some confidence in, unless he can pull off a Peterson miracle.

Venables headed to Arkansas to be DC for Morris unless CU convinces him to stay

Fulmer has a much more difficult hire after the mess Currie made the first time around.

Let's cut Phil some slack until he can fix this.

Poor Old Fulmer's not going to fix this problem with UT's admin and boosters and until this is rectified things won't change much, unfortunately:popcorn:

Fulmer has been part of the problem since he won the title and then got signed go a lifetime contract he couldn't even meet the conditions of by winning 8 games.

Expecting him to be the solution is foolhardy at best. He got the whole ball rolling on this mess in the first place.

Currie was a dead man walking after Schiano. Not really buying that Leach was as good as done. Currie is the likely source of reports stating otherwise. He has always been cozy with the press.

Bottom line is Phil is cleaning up the mess that protesting Schiano created. Nobody wants to be here right now other than risky hires.

Not if he hires Tucker or Steele, he'll be worse than Currie, if you can believe that's possible:popcorn:
