I believe that Fulmer Knew he wanted Steele when he took over. He went through the motions of looking for a coach but knew all along. Reminds me of Currie going through the motions then going to Greg Schiano.

I remember how dominate Fulmer was as a head coach with Cutcliffe and Fulmer as coordinators.

I’m not sure a 9-36 record is a part of a “great resume”

Some quality as a coordinator for sure but he is VERY unproven as the top dog.

If Fulmer gets Gruden that will be 100% because Fulmer is AD. Anyone else Currie could have done as well without Haslam telling him what to do. We saw that in end when he was running rogue to some good names.

Phil is the OG divider. He was never going to right the ship. Not until those people who were fond of all Johnny Majors did for the program are gone from the Earth at least.

About the best that will ever happen is that people will follow Johnny's lead when he said he wanted the players and Tennessee football to do well but he had no comment about Judas Brutus.
