If the decision is Kevin Steele, I'd be satisfied. Not the "wow" coach everyone wanted, but he has great resume and has coached under several HOF and future HOF coaches.

Dave Clawson isn’t a bad coach. He was picked up as a HC in 09 then moved to a P5 school a few years later. There is a good chance if he had a second year to install his offense with either Taj Boyd or Bryce Petty the team would have rebounded. We will never know.

Hamilton started trying undermine Fulmer the minute Doug Dickey retired.

Can Phillip Fulmer find the 'one' guy who can unite fan base -- and win games?

Fulmer may have further complicated a coach’s pending decision by saying he would be “present” within the program. Fulmer can help mentor a young coach, but some more experienced coaches could see that as a former championship coach trying to look over their shoulder. That could be a deterrent to a hire.

When you see Fulmer you think Tennessee Football however I said when was put in charge of this why would anyone have confidence in it?

He never could fire or make hires his whole career as HC!

Many are experts. Got all that expertise watching football. What could Fulmer possibly know compared to that knowledge base?

Makes sense given the candidates we're faced with. Good god what a disaster

It's not about that, it's about gauging the fans mind state. Truth is, we haven't done anything right in a long time. Hard to see it changing now. We like kids clinging to hope of Santa
