Guys, I'm sorry to be the one to post this, but I'm actually a little nervous that CPF could get the nod on this one if we swing and miss on other options.
My wife showed me that one of his daughters posted a facebook message asking people to support her dad as he was "officially going for the job."
I remember his comment last year about Bill Snyder starting a trend. I just hope he isn't getting his hopes up, and I hope Hamilton wouldn't truly consider him.

I'm not as big of a Fulmer hater as everyone else is...though I DID realize that it was time for him to go last year. I just don't think hiring him back would be the right move for this program. Also, the fans would riot...uh, I mean riot again.

The biggest Fulmer homer out there, Will Overstreet, even said we would not go back in Fulmer's direction. Hope to god there's no freakin' add in the paper this morning with 200 former players names wanting Fulmer back.

I have to give one thing to Fulmer. He was always loyal to UT and he still is. He is not going to be the next coach though. Kiffin turned out to be nothing more than what Al Davis said he was. He left this program a flaming bag of dog crap on the porch after he raided the recruiting kitchen at the most vulnerable point in the recruiting season. So much for that class. Kiffin is nothing but scum. He is loyal only to himself. Hindsight is 20/20. All of that talk he put out there wasn't for the benefit of UT. It was for himself. I hope his Trojan falls off in a hooker with HIV.

No, not really. Ever heard of exaggeration? Jesus Christ... My opinion of him is low enough that I probably could see him having sex with a diseased hooker though. That is how loyal to his commitments that he has proven to be. Though, three years old would still be a greater mental age than Kiffin.

ROFL! NO!!!! Fulmer would probably not come back to Tennessee even if he was offered. THey just said on the Radio that we contacted Nutt last night. Not that we should but we did.

I just don't get the hate toward Kiffin. This absolutely floors me. I understand people being upset and angered, but anyone in his shoes would've done the same exact thing.

What's funny is that we're going to hire a coach or coordinator away from a school where he's made a bunch of promises to fans and recruits, and we won't blink at that (similar to USC now). It's a business, and the sooner that people realize that, the better.

Yes it is a business, but I can guarantee you that not everyone is like Lane. Money was not an issue. I posted in the Muschamp thread about the same issue you just brought up though. I doubt we can get a guy that thinks UT is a great job to the point of feeling any ounce of loyalty to the school or the work that he will do there at this time in the recruiting season. Too bad Phillip lost his mojo about ten years ago.

Yeah I don't think money had much to do with it. SoCal is home for him. He's comfortable there. It's a perfect opportunity, and it's his dream job.

Like Sark did?
There's no way that the University of Washington really is his "dream job," but still, he turned down SC because he's a man of his word, and he actually grew to care for UW. If Kiffin had any dignity, or any real confidence (that nanny nanny boo boo stuff he did while here doesn't count) he would have stuck it out with the Vols.

Sarkisian also isn't completely across the country in the toughest conference in the country. And, he likes UW obviously. Kiffin wasn't a huge fan of UT. Nothing wrong with either of those. Kiffin was never comfortable here.

Also, I really do think Kiffin was set on this when he was hired. Anybody with half a brain could've seen this coming. I just didn't think it would happen this soon. No one could see the USC job opening up this soon.
