Fulmer to Vandy? How would you feel?

An article today by Stewart Mandel briefly mentions Fulmer to Vanderbilt as one rumor circulating since Bobby Johnson announced his retirement. I know it will be awhile until they name a replacement, but this possibility had my mind racing. Is this Fulmer's shot to get back in the SEC?

I know it's a long shot to happen, so dont say 'won't happen' . Just wanted to know how it would affect current Vols. Would you be happy to see Fulmer at another SEC school?

I don't think Fulmer would go there- he wants to go somewhere he can win (UGA when/if Richt gets canned), not struggle and wear yourself out for 5 wins a season.

However, if CPF does end up at Vandy, I will wish him the best and root for him in every game he plays except UT.
CPF has been nothing but classy in his dealings with the University, so I hope he does find a job he likes and is successful.

I agree with this. Don't think he'd go there but don't get the ill will some have regarding Fulmer.

I would hate it because like Fulmer or not and I know it's Vandy. But Fulmer opened a lot of the pipelines we have now. He knows a lot of high school coaches and they do have respect for him. He would and I'm not saying all the time, because again it is Vandy. But he would take a recruit or two that we are eye balling every few years.

One good thing that would come out of Fulmer going to Vandy is that his inflated winning percentage would start to take a serious hit...:)

This is the first thing that crossed my mind when I read about the possibility. would the Fulmer haters agree with this though?

Mike Griffith is the new Vandy beat writer for The Tennessean!!! All 15 people who care about Vanderbilt football are having a glass of chardonnay and turning the chamber music up to 5!!! They've got no athletic department and no chance!!! At 3 wins a year, Fulmer will get to 200 sometime shortly after the next ice age!!! Black is thinning!!! I can Promise You Even at Vandy Fulmer would Field a Solid Team In 3 Years and We would Hate To play Them and recruit against Them
