Fulmer to be on CBS college sports

If he coaches in the SE, he may have to go head-to-head with the Vols in some major recruiting battles which surely his strong sense of loyalty to UTK can not abide. I'm guessing he'll take over for Pete Carrol at USC and limit the Trojans' recruiting in Tennessee to Alabama leans from Shelby County.

Your logic is just absurd....If to be loyal means that you have to pass down more money to coach at another program then that would mean that Joe Paterno is not loyal to Penn State, Bobby Bowden to Florida State, etc.... As mentioned earlier, you are like a girlfriend that claims to be over her ex b/f but still trashes him every chance she gets... Move on buddy, it will be okay....

Bobby Bowden turned down the Alabama job, which would have paid him much more than he was making at FSU, twice.

I clearly remember the conversation of her saying that she may not be in school next year b/c Phil is considering an offer by the Giants to move to NYC.... I'm not sure how you can put some type of biased motive spin on that.... She had nothing to gain or lose by telling me this?!?!

I would be shocked if fulmer coaches again. He won't get a high profile offer, and the ego won't allow him to take what he can get (non-BCS job).

Personally, I hope he brushes up on his camera skills and stays in TV.

So, the girl in high school who lived in the projects and told me her dad was an astronaut was being honest? You're right. No child has ever distorted the truth to make their parents look good.

Assuming you are right about him lying about Clemson's interest then there are multiple reasons. For one, he was unemployed. So, by getting it out there that a school is interested in him makes other schools know that he is at least interested in coaching again. Secondly, like you hear many HS recruits do, you throw that out there and hope that you get a bite from someone.... Call it what you want, but that is how it works and as someone that buddies around with director of player personnel peole you should know that.... Whereas in the 1990's when Fulmer was loved, it makes no sense to tell his DAUGHTER that in the privacy of their home.... Sorry, that argument fails...

and I didn't know about Bowden and Alabama, but you now admit that that is the only way of determining a coach's loyalty?? So what about JoePa?

Personally, I hope he's as bad an analyst as Eric Dickerson was a sideline reporter and is fired before the season ends.

Agreed. He could coach at a smaller school, but I don't think he has the passion for that.

Where did I admit anything? I'm not surprised you're a friend of the Fulmers. You appear to be every bit as bright as pals of theirs like Greg Adkins and Pat Washington.

I'm not going to argue the merit of this b/c it clearly speculative on your behalf. If you want to question someone's motives that then there is nothing I or anyone else can say, right??

That wouldn't shock me either given his charisma and astute observation skills. But whatever he does... as long as it doesn't tarnish the program... is fine with me.

Unlike Johnny "I HATE UT" Majors, Fulmer has had class and not been critical of the university or of Kiffin. Phil obviously needed to go, but he can still be a great ambassador for our Univeristy.

Majors doesn't hate UT. He hates Fulmer, and he has good reason to, seeing as how Fulmer backstabbed him to get the head coaching job in the first place.

If Majors hates UT, as you say, why has he been attending some of Kiffin's practices, and why has he been singing the praises of the way Kiffin runs practice?
