Barnhart just let it slip on his show on 104.5 Nashville that they will be working together. Doug Matthews said Phillip will be a future guest on his and Tony's shows.

Should be interesting. Got to give Phil credit, he's been a good sport so far, hope he keeps it up.... not to be melodramatic, but it will really impact his legacy.

Getting to see all the C-USA games that network carries should help get The Fired Coach ready for his return to coaching at Marshall in '10.

agree... Phil did a lot for the school and continues to be a strong supporter. Although, I've never thought commentary was one of his better skills?

good sport? i thought he's come off as bitter
I think its been a mixture of both. It was time for him to go but to his defense I could understand him being a bit bitter, he is human after all. But on that same note if he would have won some big games between 04-08 and not had 2 losing seasons in the last 4 he would still have a job. I will miss the big but it was time for a change. I wish him the best of luck

battle, majors, fulmer era / fulmer was my favorite / loved the hype that majors comes marching home after winning a nc with pitt. and wanted pitt to beat ga that yr because of the new era coming to ut.But,i was very heart broken with the turn out and the end of what he created on himself and what he done afterwards with the bitterness and talking like things he had said was wrong.that said, fulmer learned by what majors done and new how to handle the ut separation from his era and handle it with grace.we all watch fulmer live his dream and watch his family[girls]grow up right in front of US:worship:class,class,class::clap:

Barnhart and Fulmer? Are you kiddinig? A boring, washed up sportswriter and a boring, washed up coach. What a dynamic duo!!! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

That pairing has all the charisma of a house party hosted by Mitt Romney and Steve Forbes.

Picked us to finish 2nd in the east behind florida IIRC. Additionally, think about what he hasn't said... he's more or less kept his mouth shut.
Of course he picked Tennessee second. That way, when we win seven games because of the garbage shape The Fired Coach left the program in he can tell the eight viewers that CBS College Sports has that UT underachieved and he and the Skoal Patrol were treated unfairly.

What hasn't he said? He should keep his mouth shut. Stealing his salary the last four years of his tenure should be enough to hush him.

Yeah, Fulmer had offers from other schools that would have paid him more than UT. The Easter Bunny also is wrestling Santa Claus in the main event at Summerslam. Why would he have sued UT? Despite the disgracefully pathetic on field product of the end of his tenure, he got every dollar remotely due to him.

How could you even understand his babbling?

I had to occasionally guess, but I think I got the gist. He's obviously just a heartbroken member of the Orange Overall Brigade. They are all still mourning the departure of The Fired Coach and The Skoal Patrol.

On the other hand, picking us second underscores to depths to which he underachieved last year. He could have said 6-6 and 4th in the SEC East to save face.

Then you should be pleased, because he has kept his mouth shut. I'm not on the filmed bandwagon at all, and his last contract was ridiculous. But he's moved on and so have I. If he's doing broadcasting, good for him.
