Fulmer to Ark?

They won't have to hire someone 2 weeks before signing day.

you can say whatever about Dooley but the TN football program is in better shape now than it was when he was hired.

it is also nice to not be reading about vols being arrested on a regular basis.

it would be nice to be competetive, and not choke away to wins after time expires, and not lose against a poor KY team with a back up QB....

I might get bashed for this, but I think we have to hire Petrino now. This is a golden opportunity to get a top notch coach who can bring us back to the top.
Genius!

Just what the Vols need!

Just because he lied to and dumped on Louisville, Atlanta, and the Piggies is no reason to suspect that he would be anything less than completely upright and a great leader at Tennessee. After all, there are no cute women or scenic places to ride a motorbike near Knoxville.

I can't imagine why you would think anyone would bash you for this suggestion. While we're at it, let's start serving Anthrax at the training table. I'm sure if it didn't kill the guys it would make them stronger!

Fulmer to Ark? Not a good idea. He'd eat up all the food the first week and Noah would be pissed!

Naw, he'd being hoisting hostesses' hems in less than a week. The UT doesn't need anymore embarrassing experiences, nor can afford to have any.

Fulmer to Arky? It would be a perfect fit for Phil.

However, I had a premonition that Nick Saban will be hired 2013. He shocks Bama with this decision because he wants to prove that even if he leaves the rich recruiting grounds of Alabama, he's so good a coach that he can bring a declined UT to a NC. Then in 2015 he leaves to be come HC of the Dallas Cowboys.

I know I could've put this in the Fulmer thread, but I thought it deserved its own since it's new material.

Anyway, he's apparently lobbying the AD (Long) for the job and has said he'll keep the staff together. This according to a well-respected Arkansas insider on their board. Got to say, if the rest of the staff is ok with it, I would definitely do it. I think Fulmer has a few years left in him if he can keep what is a solid staff together and recruit to a similar small recruiting base in Arkansas like he did at UT.

Would be a solid get for Arkansas if he can hold that staff together.

Fulmer wants every job, and lobbies every AD. This insider is really going out on a limb here.

As long as he's hands-off with the offense (unlikely) ......maybe it could work.

Phil is interviewing them. The AD at Arkansas (or any school for that matter) doesn't get to ask him anything.

Wouldn't it be something If he did get the job and Ark won the west. You talking about a meltdown in Knoxville and on Volnation. But J. Long has to pass the interview process first.
