Fulmer subpoenaed

Not just that, he won the SEC as a player, a position coach, a coordinator, and as a head coach. Won the only natty any of us will ever see. Had the best run against Bama that we have seen since Neyland. Even his bad run as AD saw him retain Barnes when UCLA came calling and offering a lot of money. This good run we are having really started under Fulmer as AD. And even the disaster that was Jeremy Pruitt didn’t keep us down for very long.
Just for context, Bama was by their standards historically awful during Fulmer's run. I believe Fulmer would have let Barnes walk and it was Randy Boyd who was more responsible for convincing him to stay. Remember also the long awful run we had, including his last few years as HC, because he drove the program into a ditch.

And that gave him privilege to destroy the program?????
Fulmer didn't destroy the program he just didn't help it any. The programs destruction started when Fulmer was fired without a proper plan to replace him. Then followed up with several bad hires. If you're going to blame Fulmer at least be totally honest

In fairness, we brought in a Hot Shot team with Kiffen and his defensive-superstar dad as OC, Ed O.... it fell apart when Lane was wooed by a "dream job" that ended miserably for him.

Fulmer's downfall as a coach was mostly due to hiring totally inept assistants and coordinators. I literally believe he put his own aspirations above what was best for the university. I truly believe that he operated in such a way that he was not going to let any assistant outshine him and take his spot like he did to Johnny Majors and it caught up to him. Totally selfish.

It is true there was no real plan after firing him. Unfortunately Tennessee didn't have good leadership at all. The Kiffin situation was a complete shat show and the University did not protect itself contractually at all. Total malpractice.

Add that after all this happened, Tennessee's so called leadership got even worse with atrocious administrative hires and further inexcusable idiotic hires of coaches. Still think a lot of this was done deliberately, can't be convinced otherwise.

Donde Plowman literally saved Tennessee athletics. She should already have a statue and a street named after her. She dug us from the depths of sports hell. She is already near the top of the most important persons in the history of the University of Tennessee and the state. I am not over exaggerating what her determination, aggressive and no bull**** approach has accomplished.

Seems like an obvious move for Pruitt's team.

I think he should get a probation for Show Cause. The game itself has changed since the punishment was meted out to Pruitt and his crew.
Then this ends if he, Niedermeier, and the rest can keep their noses clean for a few seasons.
Makes sense. They reversed Reggie Bush’s deal and he was given his trophy back; although that has nothing to do with (NCAA).

By Pruitt. This must be why Fulmerite has been trolling Butch Jones. He was trying to stay Beldar's hand.

First I’ve heard of it. Thanks for posting.

I doubt Fulmer is worried about it though. Last time he was subpoenaed in the state of Alabama, it worked out well for him. However, the difference now is he has multi-millions more now and won’t have to rely on a booster to py that $10K should it come to that.

Florida State lost their starting QB. You are really sharp, your name says so.
I am thankful that the 98 team won it. But, I am sick of people giving Fulmer all the credit. The scramble by Tee for the game winning field goal. The Billy Ratliff pushing the Arkansas guard into Stoerner. As well as FSU having a back up QB and Peerless single handedly torching FSU had a lot more to do with the NC than Fulmer did. If Cutcliffe didn't come back, UT definitely doesn't win it. Chavis had some bad years. But, his D and Big Al single handedly beating UF also put UT in a position to win the NC. I am sick of people acting like Fulmer did something special at UT. He didn't. Saban was the special coach that could win with any assistant he had. Fulmer rode Cutcliffe's coat tail. Without Cutcliffe, he never gets the job in the first place when he stabbed majors in the back! Everyone saw how the offense sucked when Cutcliffe left and was great again when he came back. Cutcliffe was the man behind the curtain pulling the strings when Fulmer was the OC too! Cutcliffe would have done as well or better than Fulmer and should have gotten the job over the lame azz pumpkin!!!

I hope you are proven wrong. I hope Coach Josh Heupel wins a championship while at Tennessee.
Even if he doesn't, CJH is still a much better coach that Fulmer and it isn't even close! UT was recruiting much better back then. Now, there are lots more schools recruiting as good or better than UT. A lot of you will say Fulmer was an awesome recruiter. He was good. But, I don't even think he would be recruiting as good as Heupel right now. UT is a good brand now. But, it was a much bigger brand when Majors and Fulmer were coaching. Tons of teams now are big brand now unlike the 90s.

He had nothing to do with retaining Barnes and he had nothing to do with the current run we are on right now. It's actually despite him. Sorry

Honestly, I could look over him sliding recruiting money. I don't really care. But after that Georgia State game, he should have willingly left. He was worse that Dooley.

Yes, Mike Hamilton should not get a pass here. He had direct incompetent impact on it.

If I am being honest he should have been fired after losing to Vandy in Neyland in 2005. He lost the program that day.

Taking the AD job was way over his head. But the positive thing is that it led to us getting a real AD and not some good ole boy like we have always hired in the last.

That's true, but the backup FSU QB beat the then #2 ranked Florida Gators who we were a lot more worried about having to face a 2nd time than we were about playing FSU that year. Plus, Weinke was not very good his SO year before he got hurt. Before the game, Outzen was said to be a tougher matchup for us because he could move around, where Weinke would've been destroyed by Al Wilson and Shaun Ellis.

So, what's Fulmer gonna do??? -- Testify that he "emptied" and ate what was in the McDonalds bags before Pruitt put money in them and handed them to players????!!!!!!
They were Chick Fila bags!!! That’s important because the money was exchanged on a Sunday. McDonald’s isn’t closed on Sundays. That’s how they got caught.. 😒

Seriously, do you people get paid to get that wrong every time? Got a sponsor from Atlanta, perhaps? 🙄

He was 1 year removed from having 2 true freshman QB’s and Rick Clausen take us to the SEC title game and then blowing out aTm in the Cotton Bowl. You can’t fire him after that.
