Very interesting. The story is on the front page of the board, but here is the link.

WBIR.COM - Vols practice; Fulmer speaks about Cutcliffe

Weve got an opportunity in front of us now to mix it up a little bit and its a pretty exciting time for me. I?ve made some calls but we?re going to go through the process and get somebody that I think everyone will be really excited about.

Maybe Tubb's move has him thinking a little more than most thought that he would. Time will tell.

Chris Hatcher..Chris Hatcher..Chris Hatcher.

Still have a gut feeling it will be Borges.

Lex, you and I are on the same wavelength . . . but I think we may be on a collision course with Kippy Brown or Doug Marrone which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Worse things could happen. I would think Kippy before Marrone.

Thank you for making an effort Phil...no sarcasam:good!:

I thought the same thing.....At least he has some sense of the significance or urgency about the hire.

I wouldn't argue with Kippy or Marone, either would be good for me.

I like the idea of mixing it up some, just hope he follows through with it.

I wouldn't be upset with these either, but "hatch attack in neyland, its a downpour" sounds sooooooooo good to me :)

I'm just excited to hear Fulmer saying this.....I'll wait and see what it delivers, but at least he's saying the right things.

I'll go ahead and let the cat out of the bag. Coach Fulmer contacted me this afternoon and Monday morning I will formally accept the offensive coordinator position for the University of Tennessee. I've made it my first priority to demote the remaining offensive staff to various levels of equipment management. Now, I proudly announce your new Tennessee offensive staff:

OL - VolinArizona
QB - justingroves
RB - BigPapaVol
WR - Business
TE - volskickballs

I've got to really think that BigPapa is coaching the OL, the name says it all

In all honesty I dont know all that much about these guys except that they have had good things said about them the last year.

The first time a drive goes 3 and out, ViA is going to burst into the booth and try to steal your headset as he tells you that he reads more and knows more than you.

That won't happen. And if does, we're going for it on fourth down no matter what the situation. Get ready.

So what do you guys want? I was thinking lots of three yard passes and never running the ball in the second half.

I'm thinking G-gun, but only 3-4 times per game, but every single time G is on the field. Crompton sweeps have proven very effective, especially when he does it on every play in which he sees the field.

I'm writing all this down. What is your opinion on bringing a particular wide receiver onto the field only one time each game exclusively for running a reverse to said player? I personally feel this is a must.

fools 'em every time. opponents get fooled because they have to eventually assume that we can't be stupid enough to keep going to the exact same well. It's a brilliant psyche out.

I like what he said, hopefully he has a good candidate in mind

Also, when we play really fast defenses, I think the best way to exploit them is to run the stretch play over and over with our slowest running back.

"We've got an opportunity in front of us now to mix it up a little bit and find whoever the next guy at Tennessee is going to be. It's a pretty exciting time for me."

That to me is very reassuring to hear, making this situation a positive. I know some will make this into a negative, but thankfully those have no say in what actually happens. I really think he is sincere, not just making coach-speak.
