Watching it on MYVLT2. Fulmer did not directly criticize Willingham's bonehead out of bounds penalty that helped lead to that TD before the half.

His lack of fire this morning and criticism of that dumb-dumb play tells me a lot.

So if he called out a player by name and blamed him you wouldn't have started a thread bagging on him for that?

No I would not.

I would like the Head Coach to say that it was a dumb play, and it hurt the team.

What's wrong with that?

Nothing. People are just getting cranky.

My thoughts, too.

Fulmer is not going to unfairly attack one of his players. However, he should point out on his show that Willingham's penalty is not something he will tolerate. Otherwise, it looks like a 'lack of discipline' problem.

Poise and discipline are not in his vocabulary.

I still say the worst call of the day was the failure to give UGA an automatic 1st down after the Defensive Holding penalty in the end zone. That's just flat out not following the rules.

I thought that happened, but I assumed I'd misunderstood the officials. That kept them from getting a touchdown.

I couldn't believe Mark Richt didn't go ballistic. The referee actually talked to the UGA coaching staff after the FG was kicked and admitted that they screwed up.

I don't think that there was any holding to begin with.

However, not giving them a 1st down, based on the call, was puzzling because the refs basically changed the rules, like GAVol said.

I think maybe it was just so unreal that he expected it to be corrected. I figured the same thing happened with Bob Stoops when OU was denied their endzone INT.

Fulmer isnt saying much. Kindof funny to watch. He basically just listening to Kesling. Whenever the camera shows Phil, he looks completely uncomfortable being there.

I'd probably act the same way if I was watching a job with a 7 figure income slowly slip away.

i really never understood why some people were hyping up willingham this off-season. he was constantly getting burnt for yardage last year, especially in the south carolina game.
